Addendum 70 — Subordinate Replacement Occurs Before Blackbody Radiation
Complementary Readability, Areal Recurrence Counting, and the Planck Spectrum
Abstract
Blackbody radiation is usually derived by counting electromagnetic modes inside a cavity.
R2D reverses the physical ordering.
The blackbody is first a thermodynamic object defined at a count boundary.
At that boundary:
- temperature is readable;
- occupancy is readable;
- the radiative recurrence is readable through physical frequency;
- but the continuous subordinate geometry realizing that recurrence is no longer jointly readable.
Addendum 3 identifies this as the quantum-side readability condition:
\[(\lambda,\nu)_Q=(\text{unreadable},\text{readable})\]
Blackbody radiation therefore occupies the transition from thermodynamic joint readability,
\[(\lambda,\nu)_T=(\text{readable},\text{readable})\]
toward recurrence-dominant quantum readability.
The causal ordering is not
\[\text{wave}\to\text{frequency}\to\text{photon}\to\text{blackbody spectrum}\]
R2D instead requires
subordinate closure→recursive replacement→readable radiative recurrence→frequency/phase representation→energetic and particle reads.
The blackbody boundary must therefore answer two distinct counting questions.
First:
How many times may each admissible radiative recurrence class be occupied?
R2D repeatable occupancy gives
\[ \bar m_f=\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}. \]
Second:
How many distinguishable radiative recurrence classes are admitted by the boundary at / frequency f ?
This second question supplies the geometric prefactor of the Planck spectrum.
Once closure recurrence has received a physical clock read f , Addendum 3 places the full-cycle energetic calibration later:
\[ E_f=hf. \]
Once that same recurrence has received the physical electromagnetic propagation calibration,
\[ \ell_f=\frac c f, \]
it acquires a downstream spatial recurrence ruler.
Define the corresponding recurrence area
\[ A_f=\ell_f^2=\frac{c^2}{f^2}. \]
Neither \(\ell_f\) nor Af is primitive R2D geometry.
They are physical coordinates assigned to a recurrence that already exists.
The blackbody boundary count can then be represented through transverse recurrence-phase distinguishability.
For one electromagnetic orientation class, a projected boundary element dA⊥ admits
\[ dN_\perp^{(1)}=\frac{f^2}{c^2}\,dA_\perp\,d\Omega \]
distinguishable directional recurrence classes.
Equivalently,
\[ dN_\perp^{(1)}=\frac{dA_\perp}{A_f}\,d\Omega\]
The factor
\[\frac{f^2}{c^2}\]
is therefore an areal recurrence-class count.
It does not require a primitive cavity volume.
A faster recurrence has a smaller physical recurrence-area ruler, so more mutually distinguishable recurrence classes can be resolved across the same projected boundary area.
Frequency distinguishability adds a second count.
During a clock-calibrated interval dt, recurrence frequencies separated by
\[ \Delta f\sim\frac1{dt} \]
are distinguishable.
Therefore:
\[ dN_f=dt\,df. \]
Combining directional, frequency, and electromagnetic orientation counts gives
\[ dN_{\mathrm{BB}}=g_{\mathrm{EM}}\frac{f^2}{c^2}\,dA_\perp\,d\Omega\,dt\,df. \]
Here
\[ g_{\mathrm{EM}}\]
is the number of independent electromagnetic orientation classes.
For observed electromagnetic radiation,
\[ g_{\mathrm{EM}}=2\]
R2D does not yet derive this factor from primitive retained-orientation counting.
It remains an empirical physical multiplicity.
Each admissible recurrence class has mean occupancy
\[\bar m_f=\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
and each realized recurrence count has energetic read
\[ hf\]
Thus the energetic read crossing the boundary is
\[ dE=hf\,\bar m_f\,dN_{\mathrm{BB}}\]
Divide by projected boundary area, solid angle, clock interval, and frequency interval:
\[ B_f(T)=g_{\mathrm{EM}}\frac{hf^3}{c^2}\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}. \]
For
\[ g_{\mathrm{EM}}=2\]
\[ B_f(T)=\frac{2hf^3}{c^2}\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
This is Planck’s spectral radiance law.
The result does not require a primitive cavity populated by independently existing electromagnetic modes.
The conventional cavity description remains valid as a later physical representation.
For isotropic radiation,
\[ u_f=\frac{4\pi}{c}B_f\]
so
\[ u_f(T)=\frac{8\pi hf^3}{c^3}\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
The conventional cavity-state factor
\[ g(f)=\frac{8\pi f^2}{c^3}\]
is therefore recovered only after converting the boundary radiance read into a volume-density read.
R2D changes the explanatory order:
Blackbody boundary → recurrent-class count → repeatable occupancy → energetic read → radiance → volume density.
The cavity is not denied.
It is demoted from primitive ontology to a successful downstream representation of the same count.
The f 2 factor acquires a particularly direct R2D meaning.
Since
\[ A_f=\ell_f^2=\frac{c^2}{f^2}\]
\[\frac{f^2}{c^2}=\frac1{A_f}\]
Thus the spectral prefactor contains an areal recurrence count before it contains a volume mode density.
This does not mean the emitting surface is physically tiled by squares of area
\[ A_f\]
The recurrence area is a conversion ruler, not a primitive constituent.
The ratio
\[\frac{dA_\perp}{A_f}\]
counts distinguishable recurrent classes that the physical boundary can resolve.
The blackbody therefore provides a direct quantum-side application of Addendum 3.
Subordinate geometry has crossed the readability horizon.
Recurrence remains.
That recurrence is first counted, then represented through phase and frequency, then calibrated spatially through c, energetically through h, and finally read as radiative occupancy.
The central statement is therefore:
Archival box reconstructed for review. Blackbody radiation does not begin with photons or cavity modes. The blackbody is first a thermodynamic count boundary at which repeatable occupancy remains readable while subordinate radiative geometry has crossed the quantum readability horizon. The surviving recurrence acquires a clock-frequency read \(f\), a cycle-energy calibration \(E_f=hf\), and a spatial recurrence ruler \(\ell_f=c/f\). The blackbody boundary counts distinguishable recurrent classes areally, producing the \(f^2/c^2\) prefactor. Together with repeatable occupancy and energetic calibration, this yields Planck spectral radiance. Wave, photon, cavity mode, and volume density are later physical representations of the boundary count.
And hence:
subordinate replacement occurs before blackbody radiation.
1. Begin With the Blackbody Boundary
Let
\[ B_{\mathrm{BB}}\]
denote the thermodynamic boundary defining the blackbody object.
The blackbody is not primitively an empty cavity.
It is a physical object whose boundary defines what radiative distinctions can be counted.
2. The Blackbody Sits Near the Quantum Readability Horizon
At BBB , temperature and occupancy remain thermodynamically readable.
Toward its subordinate radiative side, recurrence remains readable while the associated continuous subordinate geometry is no longer jointly resolved.
Thus:
thermodynamic read → quantum-side recurrence read.
3. This Is the Addendum 3 Readability Transition
Thermodynamic regime:
\[(\lambda,\nu)=(R,R)\]
Quantum-side regime:
(λ, ν) = (U , R).
Here R denotes readable and U unreadable.
4. The Unreadable Quantity Is Subordinate Geometry
The statement
\[\lambda_{\mathrm{sub}}\to U\]
does not mean that the blackbody possesses no spatial boundary.
The blackbody boundary itself remains physically readable.
What has been lost is the continuous subordinate geometric identity through which the radiative recurrence would otherwise be represented as a persistent trajectory-like object.
5. Recurrence Survives Recursive Replacement
The subordinate state identity need not survive at BBB .
The recurrent relation can nevertheless remain physically consequential.
Thus:
subordinate state replacement⇏recurrence destruction.
6. The Blackbody Therefore Counts Recurrence Classes
The immediate R2D object is not a photon.
It is an admissible recurrent class associated with the boundary.
Write its physical frequency read as
\[ f\]
7. Frequency Is Not Primitive
The primitive relation is closure recurrence.
Physical clock calibration produces
\[ f\]
Thus:
closure → recurrence → f .
8. Full-Cycle Recurrence Uses h
Because f counts complete cycles per physical time, the relevant energetic calibration is
\[ E_f=hf\]
This is the full-cycle counterpart of
\[ E=\hbar\omega\]
9. h Does Not Produce Quantization
Addendum 3 places h after recurrence.
The order is
\[\text{recurrence}\to f\overset{h}{\longrightarrow}E\]
10. The Blackbody Also Supplies Repeatable Occupancy
A radiative recurrence class can be occupied
\[ m=0,1,2,\ldots\]
times.
That admissible count domain exists before photon ontology is introduced.
11. Repeatable Occupancy Gives the Bose-Type Count Law
For repeatable occupancy with asymmetry Af ,
1
\[\bar m_f=\frac1{e^{-A_f}-1}\]
12. Blackbody Thermodynamics Supplies the Physical Asymmetry Read
For equilibrium blackbody radiation,
\[ A_f=-\frac{hf}{k_BT}\]
Therefore:
\[\bar m_f=\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
13. The Occupancy Form Precedes the Photon
The statistical form follows from repeatable count structure.
Blackbody physics supplies its physical recurrence-energy calibration.
Thus:
repeatable count domain → occupancy law → blackbody quantum read.
14. Occupancy Alone Does Not Give the Planck Spectrum
The factor
\[\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
states mean occupancy per admissible recurrence class.
It does not tell us how many distinguishable recurrence classes exist at frequency f .
15. That Is a Boundary-Counting Problem
The blackbody must determine
dNBB (f ),
the number of distinguishable recurrent radiative classes admitted by its boundary within specified physical resolution intervals.
16. Spatial Recurrence Scale Comes After Frequency
Once the recurrent class has a physical electromagnetic propagation read, define
\[\ell_f=\frac{c}{f}\]
17. \(\ell_f\) Is a Downstream Physical Ruler
It is not primitive λn .
It is not a hidden physical rod contained inside the blackbody.
It is the spatial ruler assigned to a clock-calibrated recurrence through the physical propagation calibration c.
18. Thus the Ordering Is
closure → f → \(\ell_f\) .
Not
\(\ell_f\) → creation of recurrence.
19. Define the Recurrence Area
\[ A_f=\ell_f^2=\frac{c^2}{f^2}\]
20. This Area Is Also Downstream
\[ A_f\]
is a physical conversion area associated with recurrence resolution.
It is not a fundamental surface tile.
21. Phase Enters Only as the Cyclic Representation of Recurrence
Once the recurrence has acquired a spatial ruler, its cyclic spatial representation can be written through wave vector
\[ k=\frac{2\pi}{\ell_f}=\frac{2\pi f}{c}\]
22. Phase Does Not Create the Count
The phase representation supplies a convenient coordinate for distinguishing recurrent classes.
The R2D ordering remains
closure → recurrence → phase representation.
23. Consider a Finite Boundary Element
Let the blackbody contain a locally planar physical boundary element
\[ dA\]
A radiative recurrent class crosses that boundary in direction (θ, φ).
24. The Relevant Boundary Area Is Projected
Define
\[ dA_\perp=dA\cos\theta\]
This is the boundary area perpendicular to the propagation direction.
25. Finite Boundary Extent Makes Transverse Recurrence Classes Distinguishable
For a finite rectangular boundary extent Lx Ly = dA, orthogonal cyclic phase classes differ by
\[\Delta k_x=\frac{2\pi}{L_x}\]
\[\Delta k_y=\frac{2\pi}{L_y}\]
Thus the elementary transverse reciprocal-space cell is
\[\Delta k_x\Delta k_y=\frac{(2\pi)^2}{dA}\]
26. This Is a Distinguishability Count
It counts orthogonal recurrent representations admitted across a finite physical boundary.
It does not require standing waves in a primitive interior cavity.
27. At Fixed Recurrence Magnitude
The transverse angular Jacobian gives
\[ dk_x\,dk_y=k^2\cos\theta\,d\Omega\]
Therefore the single-orientation class count is
\[ dN_\perp^{(1)}=\frac{dA}{(2\pi)^2}k^2\cos\theta\,d\Omega\]
28. Use the Projected Area
\[ dN_\perp^{(1)}=\frac{k^2}{(2\pi)^2}dA_\perp\,d\Omega\]
29. Substitute the Physical Recurrence Mapping
With
\[ k=\frac{2\pi f}{c}\]
one obtains
\[ dN_\perp^{(1)}=\frac{f^2}{c^2}dA_\perp\,d\Omega\]
30. The Same Relation Is an Area Ratio
Since
\[ A_f=\ell_f^2=\frac{c^2}{f^2}\]
\[ dN_\perp^{(1)}=\frac{dA_\perp}{A_f}\,d\Omega\]
31. The f 2 Factor Is Therefore Areal
\[\frac{f^2}{c^2}=\frac1{A_f}\]
A faster recurrence has a smaller physical recurrence-area ruler.
The same blackbody boundary can therefore distinguish more recurrent classes.
32. This Is Not Literal Surface Packing
The relation
\[\frac{dA_\perp}{A_f}\]
does not say the emitting surface is made of physical squares of side \(\ell_f\) .
It is a distinguishability count.
33. Frequency Is Also a Count Coordinate
The blackbody spectrum resolves recurrence frequency.
Over a finite physical observation interval dt, two frequencies become distinguishable when their accumulated recurrence differs by one complete cycle.
Thus:
\[\Delta f\sim\frac1{dt}\]
34. Therefore
\[ dN_f=dt\,df\]
This is a dimensionless frequency-class count.
35. Physical Time Is Not Primitive Here
The interval
\[ dt\]
is a clock-calibrated physical read of recurrence.
The derivation does not require primitive external time beneath the recursive architecture.
36. Include Electromagnetic Orientation Multiplicity
Let
\[ g_{\mathrm{EM}}\]
count independent electromagnetic orientation classes admitted by the radiative projection.
Then:
\[ dN_{\mathrm{BB}}=g_{\mathrm{EM}}\frac{f^2}{c^2}dA_\perp\,d\Omega\,dt\,df\]
37. For Observed Electromagnetic Radiation
\[ g_{\mathrm{EM}}=2\]
These are conventionally identified with the two transverse polarization classes.
38. R2D Does Not Yet Derive the Number Two
A future derivation may connect
\[ g_{\mathrm{EM}}=2\]
to retained orientation structure.
The present addendum treats it as an empirical electromagnetic multiplicity.
39. The Boundary Count Is Dimensionless
\[ dN_{\mathrm{BB}}\]
counts admissible recurrent classes.
It is not an energy density.
It is not a volume density.
It is not yet a photon number.
40. Occupancy Realizes the Admissible Classes
The mean realized count is
\[ dN_{\mathrm{real}}=\bar m_f\,dN_{\mathrm{BB}}\]
41. Energetic Calibration Comes After Realization
Each realized complete recurrence receives the physical read
\[ hf\]
Thus:
\[ dE=hf\,\bar m_f\,dN_{\mathrm{BB}}\]
42. Substitute the Boundary Count
\[ dE=g_{\mathrm{EM}}\frac{hf^3}{c^2}\frac{dA_\perp\,d\Omega\,dt\,df}{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
43. Define Spectral Radiance
\[ B_f\equiv\frac{dE}{dA_\perp\,d\Omega\,dt\,df}\]
Therefore:
\[ B_f(T)=g_{\mathrm{EM}}\frac{hf^3}{c^2}\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
44. The Observed Electromagnetic Multiplicity Gives Planck’s Law
For
\[ g_{\mathrm{EM}}=2\]
\[ B_f(T)=\frac{2hf^3}{c^2}\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
45. Planck Radiance Has Now Been Built From Four Layers
boundary recurrence-class count
\[\times\]
repeatable occupancy
\[\times\]
energy per realized recurrence
\[\times\]
electromagnetic orientation multiplicity.
46. The Cavity Is Not Required as Primitive Ontology
No interior standing-wave cavity has entered the boundary count.
That does not invalidate conventional cavity electrodynamics.
It changes its logical position.
47. Conventional Volume Density Comes Later
For isotropic radiation,
\[ u_f=\frac{4\pi}{c}B_f\]
Therefore:
\[ u_f(T)=g_{\mathrm{EM}}\frac{4\pi hf^3}{c^3}\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
For gEM = 2,
\[ u_f(T)=\frac{8\pi hf^3}{c^3}\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
48. The Conventional Mode-Density Factor Is Recovered
Divide the volume energy density by mean energy per recurrence-class occupation.
The familiar factor is
\[ g(f)=\frac{8\pi f^2}{c^3}\]
49. R2D Decomposes This Factor
\[\frac{8\pi f^2}{c^3}=\left(\frac{2f^2}{c^2}\right)\left(\frac{4\pi}{c}\right)\]
The first factor is the two-orientation boundary recurrence-class count.
The second converts isotropic boundary radiance into a volume-density representation.
50. Volume Density Is Therefore a Later Coordinate
The R2D order is
boundary count → radiance → volume density.
Not:
primitive cavity density → boundary emission.
51. Blackbody Emission Is an Areal Read
For an ideal isotropic emitter,
\[ M_f=\int_{\mathrm{hemisphere}}B_f\cos\theta\,d\Omega\]
Since
\[\int_{\mathrm{hemisphere}}\cos\theta\,d\Omega=\pi\]
\[ M_f=\pi B_f\]
52. Total Spectral Power Depends on Boundary Area
For total blackbody boundary area
\[ A_{\mathrm{BB}}\]
\[ P_f=A_{\mathrm{BB}}\pi B_f\]
The object is therefore naturally described at its emitting boundary.
53. Stefan–Boltzmann Follows as a Boundary Law
Integrating over frequency,
\[ M=\int_0^\infty M_f\,df\]
For gEM = 2,
\[ M=\sigma T^4\]
with
\[\sigma=\frac{2\pi^5k_B^4}{15h^3c^2}\]
54. The T 4 Law Is Therefore Downstream of the Same Boundary Count
No new primitive thermal-radiative ontology is required.
The integrated law follows from the frequency-resolved boundary recurrence count and repeatable occupancy.
55. Blackbody Radiation Is the Quantum-Side Turbine Limit
The blackbody remains thermodynamically readable through:
- temperature;
- boundary;
- occupancy.
Toward its radiative subordinate side, the detailed geometric realization has disappeared from joint readability.
What remains is recurrence.
56. This Is Why Blackbody Radiation Is a Canonical Quantum Bridge
The blackbody joins
thermodynamic occupancy
to
quantum-side recurrence.
No separate quantum substance needs to be inserted between them.
57. Photon Ontology Comes Later
A completed radiative recurrence can acquire the projected particle read
\[ N\to N+1\]
With energetic calibration,
\[ E=hf\]
Thus:
recurrent radiative occurrence → completed count → photon read.
58. The Photon Does Not Generate the Boundary Count
The admissible recurrence classes and their occupancy are defined before a completed recurrence is assigned a particle count.
Thus:
boundary recurrence → photon,
not
photon → creation of recurrence.
59. Wave Ontology Also Comes Later
Phase and wave vector represent the surviving recurrence.
They do not generate it.
Thus:
closure → recurrence → phase/wave representation.
60. The Blackbody and Black Hole Are Complementary Readability Limits
At the blackbody quantum horizon:
recurrence remains readable,
while
subordinate geometry is not jointly readable.
At the gravitational horizon:
enclosing spatial distinction remains readable,
while
the relevant enclosing directed recurrence becomes unreadable.
61. Addendum 3 Therefore Predicts Their Complementarity
The blackbody and black hole are not the same physical system.
They occupy opposite readability limits of the recursive architecture.
62. Principle — Recurrence Precedes Phase
The boundary count begins with recurring closure.
Phase enters only as the cyclic coordinate used to distinguish physical recurrence classes.
63. Principle — Frequency Precedes Recurrence Area
\[ f\to\ell_f=\frac cf\to A_f=\frac{c^2}{f^2}\]
The spatial ruler is downstream of physical recurrence.
64. Principle — h Is a Cycle-Recurrence Calibration
\[ E=hf\]
It converts complete recurrence into an energetic read.
It does not create the recurrent count.
65. Principle — The f 2 Prefactor Is Areal
\[\frac{f^2}{c^2}=\frac1{A_f}\]
The blackbody counts distinguishable recurrence classes across an enclosing boundary area.
66. Principle — Repeatable Occupancy Precedes Photon Statistics
\[ m=0,1,2,\ldots\]
gives the repeatable count architecture before the radiative class is called a bosonic photon mode.
67. Principle — Cavity Density Is a Downstream Projection
\[ B_f\to u_f\]
through
\[ u_f=\frac{4\pi}{c}B_f\]
The volume density is useful but not primitive.
68. Logical Status
Canonical R2D
Recursive replacement changes subordinate state identity across boundaries.
Repeatable occupancy is a count-domain property.
Recurrence precedes wave and phase representation.
Addendum 3
The quantum readability horizon satisfies
\[(\lambda,\nu)_Q=(\text{unreadable},\text{readable})\]
The full-cycle recurrence-energy calibration is
\[ E=hf\]
Established R2D Count Result
Repeatable occupancy gives
\[\bar m_f=\frac1{e^{-A_f}-1}\]
Blackbody Physical Mapping
\[ A_f=-\frac{hf}{k_BT}\]
Therefore:
\[\bar m_f=\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
Imported Electromagnetic Propagation Calibration
\[\ell_f=\frac{c}{f}\]
This maps recurrence into a physical spatial ruler.
New Boundary-Count Result
For one electromagnetic orientation class,
\[ dN_\perp^{(1)}=\frac{f^2}{c^2}dA_\perp\,d\Omega\]
Frequency distinguishability adds
\[ dN_f=dt\,df\]
Thus:
\[ dN_{\mathrm{BB}}=g_{\mathrm{EM}}\frac{f^2}{c^2}dA_\perp\,d\Omega\,dt\,df\]
Empirical Electromagnetic Multiplicity
\[ g_{\mathrm{EM}}=2\]
Its deeper R2D derivation remains open.
Derived Planck Radiance
\[ B_f(T)=\frac{2hf^3}{c^2}\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
Downstream Volume-Density Projection
\[ u_f=\frac{4\pi}{c}B_f\]
Not Yet Established
This addendum does not yet derive from primitive R2D counting alone:
- the numerical value or universality of h;
- the propagation calibration c;
- the spatial recurrence mapping \(\ell_f\) = c/f ;
- the electromagnetic multiplicity gEM = 2;
- the complete microscopic realization of the radiative subordinate closure;
- or the later photon field formalism.
The derivation is therefore a calibrated R2D boundary-count derivation, not a pure Part I theorem.

70. Conclusion
Blackbody radiation is often treated as one of the historical origins of quantum ontology.
R2D places it later.
The blackbody is first a thermodynamic boundary.
At that boundary, temperature and occupancy remain readable.
Toward the subordinate radiative side, however, continuous geometric state identity is no longer jointly readable.
Recurrence survives.
This is the quantum-side condition established in Addendum 3:
\[(\lambda,\nu)_Q=(\text{unreadable},\text{readable})\]
The surviving recurrence is not yet a wave.
It is not yet a photon.
It is not yet a cavity mode.
It is a recurrent physical relation admitted by the blackbody boundary.
Physical clock calibration gives that recurrence a frequency
Planck calibration gives a complete recurrence the energetic read
\[ E=hf\]
Electromagnetic propagation calibration gives it a spatial recurrence ruler
\[\ell_f=\frac{c}{f}\]
The corresponding recurrence-area ruler is
\[ A_f=\ell_f^2=\frac{c^2}{f^2}\]
Once recurrence has acquired this physical spatial representation, cyclic phase distinguishability can be used to count mutually distinguishable radiative classes across the blackbody boundary.
For one electromagnetic orientation:
\[ dN_\perp^{(1)}=\frac{dA_\perp}{A_f}\,d\Omega\]
Thus the familiar
\[ f^2\]
prefactor is fundamentally an areal recurrence-class count in the R2D physical projection.
Frequency resolution supplies
\[ dN_f=dt\,df\]
Electromagnetic orientation multiplicity supplies
\[ g_{\mathrm{EM}}=2\]
Repeatable occupancy supplies
\[\bar m_f=\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
Combining the boundary count, occupancy, and energetic calibration gives
\[ B_f(T)=\frac{2hf^3}{c^2}\frac1{e^{hf/(k_BT)}-1}\]
The Planck spectrum therefore does not require a primitive cavity ontology.
The conventional cavity-state density remains mathematically valid.
It appears later, when boundary radiance is rewritten as an isotropic volume-density coordinate:
\[ u_f=\frac{4\pi}{c}B_f\]
This is the same explanatory inversion that appears throughout R2D.
The successful physical equation need not change.
Its boundary ownership does.
The blackbody spectrum is first the physical read of boundary-defined recurrent classes after subordinate geometry has crossed the quantum readability horizon.
Wave, photon, cavity mode, and volume density come afterward.
The central statement is therefore:
blackbody radiation is the quantum-side read of recursively replaced subordinate structure. The blackbody boundary retains thermodynamic occupancy while radiative recurrence remains readable after its subordinate continuous geometry has ceased to be jointly accessible. Recurrence first acquires the physical frequency \(f\), then the cycle-energy calibration \(E_f=hf\), then the spatial ruler \(\ell_f=c/f\). The boundary count of distinguishable recurrence classes is areal and produces the \(f^2/c^2\) prefactor. Combined with repeatable occupancy and electromagnetic orientation multiplicity, this yields the Planck spectral radiance. The conventional cavity-mode density is a later volume projection of the same boundary > count rather than its primitive source.
And hence:
subordinate replacement occurs before blackbody radiation.
