Addendum 64 — Source-Support Work Occurs Before Cosmological Acceleration
Pressure, Curvature Cancellation, and the Evolution of the Friedmann Partition
Abstract
Addenda 59–63 reconstructed the first Friedmann equation in successive physical layers.
Recursive throughput, geometric projection, and clock calibration supplied the physical rate
\[ H\]
The squared rate was then partitioned as
\[ H^2=F_\varepsilon+F_k+F_\Lambda, \]
where
\[ \begin{aligned}F_\varepsilon&=\frac{8\pi G}{3c^2}\varepsilon,\\F_k&=-\frac{kc^2}{a^2},\end{aligned} \]
and
\[ F_\Lambda=\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
These terms were subsequently deprojected.
The matter-energy contribution is a physical source-energy read divided by physical boundary support.
The curvature contribution is a state-dependent geometric read proportional to inverse boundary area.
The cosmological-constant contribution is a state-independent reference-geometric read.
The next question is therefore not:
What primitive R2D quantity is cosmological acceleration?
It is:
How does the already-defined physical cosmological rate change as its projected source and / geometric coordinates evolve?
Physical acceleration is
\[ \frac{\ddot a}{a}=\dot H+H^2. \]
Thus it occurs after the physical rate has already been defined.
For a homogeneous source, Addendum 61 gave the physical source-support relation
\[ dE=-p\,dV, \]
with
\[ E=\epsilon V\]
Because cosmological support scales as
\[ V\propto a^3, \]
this gives
\[\dot\epsilon+3H(\epsilon+p)=0\]
Differentiate the first Friedmann partition for a fixed gravitational projection class with constant
\[ G,\quad k,\quad\Lambda. \]
Then
\[2H\dot H=\dot F_\epsilon+\dot F_k+\dot F_\Lambda\]
The source term evolves through source-support work:
\[ \dot F_\varepsilon=-\frac{8\pi G}{c^2}H(\varepsilon+p). \]
The curvature term evolves through changing boundary geometry:
\[ \dot F_k=-2HF_k. \]
The constant reference term does not evolve:
ḞΛ = 0.
Therefore, on an interval with H ≠ 0,
\[\dot H=-\frac{4\pi G}{c^2}(\epsilon+p)-F_k\]
Using
\[ F_k=-\frac{kc^2}{a^2}\]
this is
\[\dot H=-\frac{4\pi G}{c^2}(\epsilon+p)+\frac{kc^2}{a^2}\]
Now add
\[ H^2=F_\epsilon+F_k+F_\Lambda\]
Then
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=-\frac{4\pi G}{c^2}(\epsilon+p)-F_k+F_\epsilon+F_k+F_\Lambda\]
The explicit curvature contribution cancels:
\[ -F_k+F_k=0. \]
Therefore,
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=-\frac{4\pi G}{3c^2}(\epsilon+3p)+\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
This is the conventional acceleration equation.
Its structure now has a clear physical ordering.
Pressure appears because source energy changes as three-dimensional boundary support changes.
Curvature disappears because it belongs to the instantaneous geometric rate constraint and evolves exactly with the state geometry.
The fixed reference term remains because its physical scale does not dilute with the evolving cosmological area.
The second Friedmann equation is therefore not an independent primitive cosmological cause inserted beside the first.
Within the fixed FLRW projection considered here, it follows from evolution of the already-defined rate partition together with physical source-support continuity.
The central statement is:
the cosmological acceleration equation is not a second primitive law acting beside the Friedmann rate constraint. Within a fixed FLRW projection, it follows from the evolution of that already-defined rate partition together with source-support work. Pressure enters because physical source energy changes with three-dimensional boundary support; spatial curvature cancels because it belongs to the evolving geometric state rather than to the active source.
And hence:
Source-support work occurs before cosmological acceleration.
1. Cosmological Direction, Rate, and Acceleration Are Different Quantities
R2D cosmology now distinguishes three successive levels.
Primitive directional organization is represented by
\[ A_\zeta=P_\zeta-R_\zeta\]
for a nonterminal cosmological boundary.
Physical rate is represented by
\[ H=\frac{\dot a}{a}\]
Physical acceleration is represented by
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}\]
These must not be identified.
2. Direction Occurs Before Rate
Primitive asymmetry biases which cosmological structural transition is realized.
The structural transition then acquires geometric and clock projections.
Only afterward does the physical rate
\[ H\]
appear.
3. Rate Occurs Before Acceleration
Acceleration requires change in the already-defined physical rate.
Thus:
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=\dot H+H^2\]
Acceleration therefore belongs one projection layer later than H .
4. In Boundary-Area Coordinates
Addendum 56 gave
\[ H=\frac12\frac{d\ln A_\zeta}{dt}\]
Therefore,
\[ H^2=\frac14\left(\frac{d\ln A_\zeta}{dt}\right)^2\]
5. Differentiate the Area Rate
Using
\[ a\propto A_\zeta^{1/2}\]
we obtain
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=\frac12\frac{d^2\ln A_\zeta}{dt^2}+\frac14\left(\frac{d\ln A_\zeta}{dt}\right)^2\]
Thus acceleration is a second-order physical read of changing cosmological boundary area.
6. Acceleration Is Not Primitive R2D Asymmetry
Consequently,
\[ A_\zeta\ne\frac{\ddot a}{a}\]
One is a primitive directional count relation.
The other is a dimensional second-order geometric-time read.
7. Recall the Completed Friedmann Partition
The first Friedmann equation is
\[ H^2=F_\epsilon+F_k+F_\Lambda\]
The three terms have already been assigned different physical ownership.
8. The Matter-Energy Term Is
\[ F_\epsilon=\frac{8\pi G}{3c^2}\epsilon\]
It belongs to the source/support projection.
9. The Curvature Term Is
\[ F_k=-\frac{kc^2}{a^2}\]
It belongs to the evolving geometric state.
10. The Constant Reference Term Is
\[ F_\Lambda=\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
For fixed Λ, it belongs to state-independent reference geometry.
11. Acceleration Follows From the Evolution of These Terms
Differentiate:
\[2H\dot H=\dot F_\epsilon+\dot F_k+\dot F_\Lambda\]
Each derivative must be evaluated according to the physical ownership of its term.
12. Begin With the Source Term
Addendum 61 defined
\[\epsilon=\frac EV\]
Therefore source-density evolution depends on both source-energy evolution and support-volume evolution.
13. Source Energy Changes Through Physical Work
For a homogeneous adiabatic source,
\[ dE=-p\,dV\]
This is a physical source-support relation.
It is not a primitive R2D count identity.
14. Expand dE
Since
\[ E=\epsilon V\]
\[ dE=V\,d\epsilon+\epsilon\,dV\]
Thus:
\[ V\,d\epsilon+(\epsilon+p)\,dV=0\]
15. Divide by the Support Volume
Therefore:
\[ d\epsilon+(\epsilon+p)\,d\ln V=0\]
This relation exists before the physical clock is introduced.
16. Three-Dimensional Support Produces the Factor Three
For a fixed comoving FLRW domain,
\[ V\propto a^3\]
Therefore:
\[ d\ln V=3\,d\ln a\]
17. Or, in Area Coordinates
Since
\[ V\propto A_\zeta^{3/2}\]
\[ d\ln V=\frac32\,d\ln A_\zeta\]
The factor three originates in the three-dimensional physical support read.
18. Physical Clock Calibration Produces Source Continuity
Because
\[ H=\frac{\dot a}{a}\]
the source-support relation becomes
\[\dot\epsilon+3H(\epsilon+p)=0\]
19. Differentiate the Matter-Energy Friedmann Term
For fixed G,
\[\dot F_\epsilon=\frac{8\pi G}{3c^2}\dot\epsilon\]
Using continuity,
\[\dot F_\epsilon=-\frac{8\pi G}{c^2}H(\epsilon+p)\]
20. Pressure Appears Through Energy Change
The pressure contribution enters because
\[ E\]
changes as the physical support
\[ V\]
changes.
Thus pressure is part of the dynamical source read.
21. Pressure Is Not an Additional Primitive Substance
The source relation is
\[ dE=-p\,dV\]
Pressure specifies how source energy responds to support deformation.
It is not an independently added primitive count object.
22. Lower-Case p Remains Distinct From R2D P
As before,
\[ p\ne P_\zeta\]
Physical pressure belongs to the mature source projection.
R2D possibility belongs to the primitive enclosing compatibility relation.
23. Now Differentiate the Curvature Contribution
Addendum 62 gave
\[ F_k=-\frac{kc^2}{a^2}\]
For fixed k ,
\[\frac{d}{dt}a^{-2}=-2Ha^{-2}\]
24. Therefore
\[\dot F_k=-2HF_k\]
This is the geometric evolution of the curvature contribution.
25. Curvature Changes Because Boundary Geometry Changes
No source-work law is required.
The curvature magnitude simply follows
\[ K_\zeta\propto a^{-2}\]
Equivalently,
\[ K_\zeta\propto A_\zeta^{-1}\]
26. The Curvature Class Still Does Not Change
Throughout this evolution,
\[\dot k=0\]
The physical magnitude changes while the projection class remains fixed.
27. Differentiate the Cosmological-Constant Contribution
For fixed Λ,
\[ F_\Lambda=\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
Therefore:
\[\dot F_\Lambda=0\]
28. This Reflects Fixed Reference Geometry
Addendum 63 gave
\[ F_\Lambda=\frac{4\pi c^2}{A_\Lambda}\]
For constant Λ,
\[\dot A_\Lambda=0\]
Thus the contribution does not dilute with the evolving cosmological state area.
29. Assemble the Derivative of H 2
We now have
\[2H\dot H=-\frac{8\pi G}{c^2}H(\epsilon+p)-2HF_k\]
30. Divide by 2H
On any smooth interval with
\[ H\ne0\]
\[\dot H=-\frac{4\pi G}{c^2}(\epsilon+p)-F_k\]
31. Restore the Curvature Coordinate
Since
\[ F_k=-\frac{kc^2}{a^2}\]
\[\dot H=-\frac{4\pi G}{c^2}(\epsilon+p)+\frac{kc^2}{a^2}\]
32. This Is the Rate-Evolution Equation
It describes how the already-defined physical expansion/contraction rate changes.
It is not yet written as acceleration.
33. Now Use the Kinematic Identity
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=\dot H+H^2\]
Substitute the rate-evolution equation and first Friedmann equation.
34. The Result Before Simplification Is
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=-\frac{4\pi G}{c^2}(\epsilon+p)-F_k+F_\epsilon+F_k+F_\Lambda\]
35. The Curvature Terms Cancel Exactly
\[-F_k+F_k=0\]
This cancellation is one of the central results of the addendum.
36. Acceleration Therefore Depends on Source-Support Response and Fixed Reference Geometry
After cancellation,
ä 4πG 8πG Λc2
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=-\frac{4\pi G}{c^2}(\epsilon+p)+\frac{8\pi G}{3c^2}\epsilon+\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
37. Combine the Source Terms
Thus:
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=-\frac{4\pi G}{3c^2}(\epsilon+3p)+\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
This is the conventional cosmological acceleration equation.
38. The Derivation Extends Across Smooth Turning Points
The intermediate step divided by H , so it was written for
\[ H\ne0\]
Where the physical solution is smooth, the resulting acceleration relation extends continuously to a turning point
\[ H=0\]
No identification of R2D stall with a geometric turning point is implied.
39. The Second Friedmann Equation Is Therefore Not Independent in This Construction
Within a fixed FLRW projection with source continuity and constant G, k , and Λ, the acceleration equation follows from:
1. the first Friedmann rate constraint;
2. source-support continuity;
3. the kinematic identity ä/a = Ḣ + H 2 .
Thus it need not be introduced as a second primitive cosmological postulate.
40. Curvature Has a Different Dynamical Role From Source Content
Spatial curvature contributes to the instantaneous allowed rate:
kc2
\[ H^2\supset-\frac{kc^2}{a^2}\]
But it cancels from the active acceleration equation.
41. Principle — Curvature Constrains Rate but Is Not an Independent Active Acceleration Source
The exact cancellation gives
\(F_k\) contributes to \(H^2\).
while
\(F_k\) contributes no separate term to \(\ddot a/a\).
42. Why the Cancellation Occurs
The curvature term already belongs to the changing geometric state.
Its magnitude scales as
\[ a^{-2}\]
The same geometric evolution that changes H also changes the curvature contribution.
Those two appearances cancel in the acceleration read.
43. Curvature Does Not Need a Source-Work Interpretation
Unlike matter-energy,
\[ F_k\]
does not contain a changing physical source-energy numerator.
It is geometry.
Therefore no pressure-like work term accompanies it.
44. The Effective-Fluid Representation Gives the Same Result
Addendum 62 showed that curvature can be written as an effective density
\[\epsilon_k\propto a^{-2}\]
If represented by
\[\epsilon_k\propto a^{-3(1+w_k)}\]
then
\[ w_k=-\frac13\]
45. The Active Curvature Combination Vanishes
For that effective representation,
\[\epsilon_k+3p_k=\epsilon_k(1+3w_k)\]
Thus:
\[\epsilon_k+3p_k=0\]
The effective-fluid representation therefore reproduces the geometric curvature cancellation.
46. This Does Not Mean Curvature Is Actually a Fluid
The value
\[ w_k=-\frac13\]
is bookkeeping.
The more direct R2D physical ownership remains geometric.
47. Pressure Has the Opposite Status
Pressure does not appear in the first Friedmann energy-density term explicitly.
Yet it enters the acceleration equation.
This is because pressure controls how the source-energy read changes with changing support.
48. The 3p Contribution Has a Geometric Origin in Support Dimensionality
For homogeneous isotropic support,
\[ V\propto a^3\]
Therefore the pressure work appears three times in the linear-scale response.
This produces
\[\epsilon+3p\]
49. This Is Consistent With the Mature Relativistic Source Read
In general relativity, pressure and stress belong to
\[ T_{\mu\nu}\]
The FLRW combination
\[\epsilon+3p\]
is therefore not an arbitrary relativistic correction.
It is the isotropic specialization of a source description that already contains stress.
50. Dust Provides the Simplest Limit
For
\[ p=0\]
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=-\frac{4\pi G}{3c^2}\epsilon+\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
Ordinary positive dust energy contributes deceleration.
51. Radiation Contributes More Strongly at Equal Energy Density
For radiation,
\[ p=\frac{\epsilon}{3}\]
Then
\[\epsilon+3p\]
Therefore:
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=-\frac{8\pi G}{3c^2}\epsilon+\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
52. The Extra Radiation Contribution Comes From Pressure
The factor of two is not an extra primitive gravitational charge.
It reflects the physical stress/pressure content of the source projection.
53. A General Constant Equation of State Gives
For
\[ p=w\epsilon\]
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=-\frac{4\pi G}{3c^2}\epsilon(1+3w)+\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
54. The Acceleration Threshold Without Λ
For
\[\Lambda=0\]
and
\[\epsilon>0\]
positive acceleration requires
1 + 3w < 0.
Therefore:
\[ w<-\frac13\]
55. This Is a Physical Source-Support Threshold
The value
\[ w=-\frac13\]
marks the point at which the pressure response exactly cancels the ordinary positive-energy contribution in the acceleration equation.
It is not primitive R2D stall.
56. Thus
\[ w=-\frac13\ne A_\zeta=0\]
The two conditions belong to different layers of description.
57. The Constant-Λ Source Representation Closes Consistently
Addendum 63 defined
\[\epsilon_\Lambda=\frac{\Lambda c^4}{8\pi G}\]
and
\[ p_\Lambda=-\epsilon_\Lambda\]
58. Its Active Source Combination Is
\[\epsilon_\Lambda+3p_\Lambda=-2\epsilon_\Lambda\]
Therefore:
4πG 8πG
\[-\frac{4\pi G}{3c^2}(\epsilon_\Lambda+3p_\Lambda)=\frac{8\pi G}{3c^2}\epsilon_\Lambda\]
59. Hence
\[-\frac{4\pi G}{3c^2}(\epsilon_\Lambda+3p_\Lambda)=\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
The w = −1 source representation and fixed-reference-area representation give the same physical acceleration term.
60. This Is Projection Equivalence, Not Primitive Vacuum Ontology
The equality does not establish that a vacuum fluid is the primitive cause of cosmological acceleration.
It shows that one fixed geometric contribution admits an equivalent perfect-fluid source representation.
61. Positive Acceleration Still Does Not Determine Branch Direction
Pure de Sitter has
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=H_\Lambda^2>0\]
Yet its two local branches satisfy
\[ H=\pm H_\Lambda\]
Thus:
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}>0\]
does not imply
\[ H>0\]
62. Direction, Rate, and Acceleration Are Therefore Three Distinct Reads
The hierarchy is
Direction \(\ne\) rate \(\ne\) rate evolution.
In symbols:
\[ A_\zeta\ne H\ne\frac{\ddot a}{a}\]
63. Nor Is Primitive Asymmetry the Active Source Combination
No derivation establishes
\[ A_\zeta=\epsilon+3p\]
The active source combination belongs to the mature gravitational projection.
64. Nor Is Primitive Asymmetry the Equation-of-State Coordinate
Likewise:
\[ A_\zeta\ne1+3w\]
The equation-of-state parameter describes physical source-support response.
65. The R2D Causal Ordering Remains Earlier
For a nonterminal cosmological boundary:
\[ A_\zeta=P_\zeta-R_\zeta\]
biases structural realization.
That occurs before
\[ E,\quad V,\quad p,\quad H,\quad\ddot a\]
have acquired physical meaning.
66. The Cosmological Structural Branch Is Selected First
Schematically:
\[ A_\zeta\]
↓
\[ i_\zeta^\ast\to k_\zeta^\ast\]
67. Recursive Throughput Is Then Defined
The selected cosmological occurrence is realized through subordinate recurrence:
\[\rho_{\zeta\mid\zeta-1}\]
This supplies count throughput before physical time.
68. Geometry and Clock Produce Physical Rate
The occurrence acquires geometric step
\[\delta_{A,\chi}\]
and subordinate recurrence acquires physical clock calibration
\[ f_c\]
Thus:
\[ H=f_c\delta_{A,\chi}\rho_{\zeta\mid\zeta-1}\]
69. The Rate Is Then Partitioned
The gravitational projection gives
\[ H^2=F_\epsilon+F_k+F_\Lambda\]
This is the instantaneous physical rate constraint.
70. Only Then Can the Rate Partition Evolve
Source-support work changes
\[ F_\epsilon\]
Boundary geometry changes
\[ F_k\]
Fixed reference geometry leaves
\[ F_\Lambda\]
constant.
Their combined evolution determines
\[\dot H\]
71. Only Then Does Cosmological Acceleration Appear
Finally,
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=\dot H+H^2\]
Acceleration is therefore several projection layers downstream of primitive causal direction.
72. Principle — Physical Acceleration Is Rate Evolution
Once the physical cosmological rate H is defined,
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=\dot H+H^2\]
Cosmological acceleration is therefore the evolution of already-projected throughput.
73. Principle — Pressure Enters Through Source-Support Work
For homogeneous support,
dE = −p dV .
Because
\[ V\propto a^3\]
the source contribution to acceleration appears through
\[\epsilon+3p\]
74. Principle — Spatial Curvature Cancels From Active Acceleration
Although
\[ F_k\]
appears in the first Friedmann constraint, its geometric evolution causes its explicit contribution to cancel from
\[\ddot a/a\]
Thus:
Curvature constrains rate but is not an independent active acceleration source.
75. Principle — Fixed Reference Geometry Survives the Rate Derivative
For constant Λ,
\[\dot F_\Lambda=0\]
Its contribution therefore remains in the acceleration equation as
\[+\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
76. Principle — The Second Friedmann Equation Is Downstream
Within a fixed FLRW projection with source continuity,
first Friedmann constraint + source-support continuity + kinematics
imply
acceleration equation.
It need not be introduced as an independent primitive R2D law.
77. Logical Status
Canonical R2D
Primitive asymmetry biases structural realization before physical rate or acceleration is defined.
Addendum 59
Recursive throughput, geometric step, and clock calibration produce H .
Addendum 60
The first Friedmann equation partitions H 2 .
Addendum 61
Source continuity follows from
\[ dE=-p\,dV\]
with
\[ V\propto a^3\]
Addendum 62
Spatial curvature scales as
\[ a^{-2}\]
or
\[ A^{-1}\]
Addendum 63
For constant Λ,
\[ F_\Lambda\]
is state independent.
Derived Rate Evolution
\[\dot H=-\frac{4\pi G}{c^2}(\epsilon+p)+\frac{kc^2}{a^2}\]
Derived Acceleration Equation
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=-\frac{4\pi G}{3c^2}(\epsilon+3p)+\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
Not Established Here
This addendum does not establish:
- physical pressure as primitive R²D possibility;
- \(\epsilon+3p\) as primitive asymmetry;
- \(w=-1/3\) as an R²D stall condition;
- positive acceleration determining branch direction;
- \(\Lambda\) as primitive causal orientation;
- a primitive derivation of \(dE=-p\,dV\);
- the complete Einstein equations following from FLRW alone.
78. The Complete Acceleration Architecture
Primitive directional organization occurs first:
\[ A_\zeta=P_\zeta-R_\zeta\]
That bias selects the structural branch:
\[ i_\zeta^\ast\to k_\zeta^\ast\]
Recursive realization supplies throughput:
\[\rho_{\zeta\mid\zeta-1}\]
Geometric and clock calibration produce physical rate:
\[ H\]
The gravitational projection partitions the squared rate:
\[ H^2=F_\epsilon+F_k+F_\Lambda\]
Source-support work changes the energy sector:
dE = −p dV .
Boundary-area evolution changes the curvature sector:
\[\dot F_k=-2HF_k\]
Fixed reference geometry leaves
\[\dot F_\Lambda=0\]
Together these determine
\[\dot H\]
Finally:
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=\dot H+H^2\]
Thus:
primitive direction
↓
recursive throughput
↓
physical rate
↓
rate partition
↓
partition evolution
↓
cosmological acceleration.
79. Conclusion
The cosmological acceleration equation is often presented beside the first Friedmann equation as another fundamental dynamical statement.
The R2D reconstruction places it later.
The first Friedmann equation already describes the physical rate magnitude after recursive throughput has been projected into gravitational coordinates:
\[ H^2=F_\epsilon+F_k+F_\Lambda\]
Each contribution has different physical ownership.
Matter-energy is a source-energy/support relation.
Curvature is evolving state geometry.
The cosmological constant is fixed reference geometry.
Their derivatives therefore differ.
Source energy changes because the physical source does work against changing support:
\[ dE=-p\,dV\]
For three-dimensional homogeneous support,
\[ V\propto a^3\]
Consequently,
\[\dot\epsilon+3H(\epsilon+p)=0\]
Spatial curvature evolves as
\[\dot F_k=-2HF_k\]
The constant reference contribution satisfies
\[\dot F_\Lambda=0\]
Differentiating the first Friedmann equation therefore yields
\[\dot H=-\frac{4\pi G}{c^2}(\epsilon+p)+\frac{kc^2}{a^2}\]
When this rate evolution is combined with
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=\dot H+H^2\]
the curvature contribution cancels exactly.
The result is
\[\frac{\ddot a}{a}=-\frac{4\pi G}{3c^2}(\epsilon+3p)+\frac{\Lambda c^2}{3}\]
The familiar 3p contribution therefore appears because source energy responds to changing three- dimensional boundary support.
The absence of an explicit curvature term appears because spatial curvature belongs to the evolving state geometry already represented in the rate constraint.
The surviving Λ term appears because its reference scale does not dilute with the cosmological state area.
None of these quantities is primitive R2D asymmetry.
The primitive directional question has already been answered upstream.
The acceleration equation answers a later question:
How does the physically projected cosmological rate change as its source and geometric / reads evolve?
The central statement is therefore:
the cosmological acceleration equation is not a second primitive law acting beside the Friedmann rate constraint.
