Addendum 49 — Horizon-Branch Distinguishability Occurs Before Hawking Recurrence
Abstract
Addendum 48 established a stationary Kerr–Newman horizon count domain at fixed physical mass.
Its rotational and charge macrostates are physically labeled by
\[j=\frac J\hbar\]
and
\[q=\frac Q{q_P}\]
within the admissible domain
\[j^2+j_Mq^2\le j_M^2\]
where
\[j_M=\frac{GM^2}{\hbar c}\]
The Kerr–Newman residual coordinate is
\[\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}=\sqrt{j_M^2-j^2-j_Mq^2}\]
The physical horizon state projects onto two geometric branches,
\[x_\pm=j_M\pm\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
with corresponding area-calibrated logarithmic multiplicity coordinates
\[S_\pm=\ln W_\pm=2\pi(j_M\pm\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}})-\pi q^2\]
Their difference is therefore
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}\equiv S_+-S_-=4\pi\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}.\]
Since
\[S_\pm = \ln W_\pm\]
this may also be written
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}=\ln\frac{W_+}{W_-}\]
The same projected branch distinction possesses a radial read.
Because
\[x=\frac{Mc}{\hbar}r\]
the radial separation of the two horizon branches is
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}\equiv r_+-r_-=\frac{2\hbar}{Mc}\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
Thus
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{2\pi Mc}{\hbar}\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}\]
This equality is specific to the Kerr–Newman physical projection.
It does not identify entropy with radius, circumference, or primitive R²D distinguishability.
It says that the same projected outer–inner branch separation acquires both a radial read and an area/ multiplicity read.
The outer-horizon surface gravity is
\[\kappa_H=\frac{c^2(r_+-r_-)}{2(r_+^2+a^2)}\]
Therefore the Hawking phase-frequency read is
\[\omega_H=\frac{\kappa_H}{2\pi c}=\frac{c(r_+-r_-)}{4\pi(r_+^2+a^2)}\]
Using
\[S_+=\frac{\pi(r_+^2+a^2)}{\ell_P^2}\]
this becomes
\[\omega_H=\frac{c\,\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}}{4\ell_P^2S_+}\]
Equivalently,
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_H}{Mc^2}=\frac{S_+-S_-}{8\pi j_MS_+}\]
Define the normalized branch multiplicity gap
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}}\equiv\frac{S_+-S_-}{S_+}=1-\frac{S_-}{S_+}\]
Then
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_H}{Mc^2}=\frac{\delta_{\mathrm{br}}}{8\pi j_M}\]
At fixed mass,
\[\omega_H\propto\delta_{\mathrm{br}}.\]
The Hawking clock therefore does not read total horizon multiplicity.
It reads the remaining outer–inner branch distinction under the Kerr–Newman thermal calibration.
At Schwarzschild,
\[S_- = 0\]
so
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} = 1\]
At extremality,
\[\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}} = 0\]
and therefore
\[r_+ = r_-\]
\[S_+ = S_-\]
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
Consequently,
\[\omega_H = 0\]
But the horizon boundary has not disappeared.
At extremality,
\[S_+ > 0\]
and nontrivial rotational and/or charge organization remains.
Addendum 48 also established that the stationary macrostate family is mapped to the differential stall relation
\[dP_{\mathrm{KN}} = dR_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
so
\[dA_{\mathrm{KN}} = 0\]
throughout the stationary family, not only at extremality.
Therefore the vanishing of Hawking recurrence cannot be identified with:
\[S_+\]
\[R_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
\[P_{\mathrm{KN}} - R_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
or the existence of the gravitational horizon itself.
What vanishes is the projected branch distinction.
The causal order is therefore
horizon boundary
↓
(j, q) horizon state
↓
outer/inner branch projection
↓
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}} , \Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}\]
↓
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}}\]
↓
\[\omega_H\]
↓
\[T_H\]
Temperature comes last.
Thus:
Hawking recurrence does not sustain the horizon.
Rather,
Hawking recurrence is a thermal clock read conditioned by a branch distinction already sustained by
Therefore:
horizon-branch distinguishability occurs before Hawking recurrence.
1. Begin With the Horizon Boundary, Not Its Temperature
R²D begins by asking which boundary owns the state distinctions.
Let
\[B_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
denote the fixed-mass stationary Kerr–Newman horizon count boundary.
Its physical macrostate is specified by the rotational and charge coordinates
\[(j, q)\]
The horizon does not become a count boundary because it possesses a Hawking temperature.
Its state domain is defined first.
Thermal recurrence is a later physical read.
2. Addendum 48 Established the Native Horizon State
At fixed mass,
\[j_M=\frac{GM^2}{\hbar c}\]
The admissible state domain is
\[j^2+j_Mq^2\le j_M^2\]
The residual geometric coordinate is
\[\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}=\sqrt{j_M^2-j^2-j_Mq^2}\]
The boundary exists throughout the nonextremal and extremal state domain.
3. Extremality Is Not the Stationary Stall Condition
Addendum 48 mapped the stationary fixed-mass family to
\[dP_{\mathrm{KN}} = dR_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
Thus
\[dA_{\mathrm{KN}} = 0\]
throughout that stationary manifold.
Extremality, by contrast, is
\[\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}} = 0\]
Therefore,
stationary differential stall \(\\ne\) extremality.
This distinction is essential.
4. The Outer and Inner Horizons Are Projected Branches
The phase-normalized horizon polynomial produces
\[x_\pm=j_M\pm\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
These are two roots belonging to the same physically specified Kerr–Newman horizon state.
They should not be treated as two independent primitive R²D states.
They are two geometric branches of one boundary-owned physical relation.
5. The Branches Have Radial Separation
Since
\[x=\frac{Mc}{\hbar}r\]
we have
\[r_\pm=\frac\hbar{Mc}x_\pm\]
Therefore,
\[r_+-r_-=\frac\hbar{Mc}(x_+-x_-)\]
But
\[x_+ - x_- = 2\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
Hence,
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}=r_+-r_-=\frac{2\hbar}{Mc}\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
6. The Same Branch Separation Has an Area/Multiplicity Read
The horizon area calibration gives
\[S_\pm=\ln W_\pm=\frac{A_\pm}{4\ell_P^2}\]
For Kerr–Newman,
\[S_\pm=2\pi(j_M\pm\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}})-\pi q^2\]
Subtracting,
\[S_+ - S_- = 4\pi\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
Define
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} \equiv S_+ - S_-\]
Then
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} = 4\pi\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
7. The Multiplicity Gap Is a Logarithmic Ratio
Because
\[S_+ = \ln W_+\]
and
\[S_- = \ln W_-\]
we have
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} = \ln W_+ - \ln W_-\]
Therefore,
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}=\ln\frac{W_+}{W_-}\]
The branch gap is therefore more than a geometric area difference.
It is a logarithmic multiplicity ratio under the horizon-area calibration.
8. Radial and Multiplicity Reads Must Not Be Collapsed
From
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{2\hbar}{Mc}\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
and
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} = 4\pi\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
we obtain
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{2\pi Mc}{\hbar}\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}\]
This relation belongs to the Kerr–Newman physical projection.
It does not imply
\[S = \lambda\]
Nor does it imply
entropy = radius.
The two quantities are distinct physical reads of the same projected branch splitting.
9. This Is Consistent With Area Before Radius
The boundary multiplicities remain area calibrated:
\[S_\pm=\frac{A_\pm}{4\ell_P^2}\]
The branch separation also possesses a radial physical read,
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}\]
Thus:
boundary count → area/multiplicity read,
while
branch separation → radial distinguishability read.
No circumferential entropy interpretation is required.
10. Equal Multiplicity Alone Would Not Prove Branch Identity
In general,
\[W_1 = W_2\]
does not require two states or branches to be identical.
Equal degeneracy can occur for distinguishable states.
Kerr–Newman extremality supplies additional information.
At extremality,
\[r_+ = r_-\]
at the same time that
\[W_+ = W_-\]
Thus both the geometric branch separation and the multiplicity gap vanish together.
11. Extremality Closes the Radial Branch Gap
The normalized admissible state domain is
\[\chi_J^2 + \chi_Q^2 \le 1\]
Extremality is
\[\chi_J^2 + \chi_Q^2 = 1\]
Therefore,
\[\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}} = 0\]
Hence,
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
The two horizon radii coalesce.
12. Extremality Also Closes the Multiplicity Gap
Because
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} = 4\pi\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
extremality gives
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
Thus,
\[\ln\frac{W_+}{W_-}=0\]
Therefore,
\[W_+ = W_-\]
The outer–inner multiplicity distinction has closed.
13. The Horizon Boundary Itself Remains
At extremality,
\[S_+ = S_-\]
but
\[S_+ > 0\]
Therefore,
\[W_+ = e^{S_+} > 1\]
The loss of outer–inner branch distinction is not disappearance of the horizon multiplicity landscape.
Thus,
branch closure \(\\ne\) horizon boundary collapse
14. Retained Rotational and/or Charge Organization Also Remains
A nontrivial extremal Kerr–Newman horizon satisfies
\[\chi_J^2 + \chi_Q^2 = 1\]
Thus rotation, charge, or both remain nonzero.
The extremal state therefore simultaneously has
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
and
retained horizon organization \(\\ne\) 0.
Loss of branch distinction is not loss of retention.
15. Now Introduce the Thermal Clock
Only after the horizon state and its branch structure have been defined do we introduce the Hawking phase-frequency read.
Define
\[\omega_H\equiv\frac{k_BT_H}{\hbar}\]
Equivalently,
\[\omega_H=\frac{\kappa_H}{2\pi c}\]
Temperature and frequency are therefore later physical calibrations.
16. The Kerr–Newman Surface Gravity Contains the Branch Separation Explicitly
For the outer Kerr–Newman horizon,
\[\kappa_H=\frac{c^2(r_+-r_-)}{2(r_+^2+a^2)}\]
Therefore,
\[\omega_H=\frac{c(r_+-r_-)}{4\pi(r_+^2+a^2)}\]
Using
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}} = r_+ - r_-\]
we obtain
\[\omega_H=\frac{c\,\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}}{4\pi(r_+^2+a^2)}\]
The branch separation is already explicit before temperature is assigned.
17. Replace the Area Factor With Horizon Multiplicity
For the outer horizon,
\[S_+=\frac{\pi(r_+^2+a^2)}{\ell_P^2}\]
Therefore,
\[r_+^2+a^2=\frac{\ell_P^2S_+}{\pi}\]
Substituting gives
\[\omega_H=\frac{c\,\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}}{4\ell_P^2S_+}\]
This is a direct physical branch-gap representation of the Hawking clock.
18. Hawking Recurrence Is Not Set by Total Multiplicity Alone
The equation
\[\omega_H=\frac{c\,\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}}{4\ell_P^2S_+}\]
contains both
\[S_+\]
and
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}\]
Thus two horizons with the same outer multiplicity but different branch separation would not possess the same Hawking read.
The clock depends on the remaining branch distinction.
19. Rewrite the Thermal Clock Using the Multiplicity Gap
From
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{2\pi Mc}{\hbar}\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}\]
we have
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac\hbar{2\pi Mc}\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}\]
Insert this into the Hawking relation:
\[\omega_H=\frac c{4\ell_P^2S_+}\frac\hbar{2\pi Mc}\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}\]
Using
\[\ell_P^2=\frac{G\hbar}{c^3}\]
we obtain
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_H}{Mc^2}=\frac{\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}}{8\pi j_MS_+}\]
20. Write the Result Directly in Multiplicities
Since
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}=\ln\frac{W_+}{W_-}\]
and
\[S_+ = \ln W_+\]
we obtain
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_H}{Mc^2}=\frac1{8\pi j_M}\frac{\ln(W_+/W_-)}{\ln W_+}\]
The Hawking clock is therefore tied directly to a relative horizon multiplicity distinction.
21. Define the Normalized Branch Multiplicity Gap
Define
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}}\equiv\frac{S_+-S_-}{S_+}\]
Equivalently,
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}}=1-\frac{S_-}{S_+}\]
And, using multiplicities,
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{\ln(W_+/W_-)}{\ln W_+}\]
This quantity compares the branch multiplicity gap with the outer-horizon multiplicity scale.
22. The Normalized Gap Is Bounded
For the Kerr–Newman family considered here,
\[0 \le S_- \le S_+\]
Therefore,
\[0 \le \delta_{\mathrm{br}} \le 1\]
The two endpoints have immediate physical meanings.
23. Hawking Recurrence Becomes Linear in the Normalized Gap
The thermal bridge becomes
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_H}{Mc^2}=\frac{\delta_{\mathrm{br}}}{8\pi j_M}\]
At fixed mass,
\[j_M\]
is fixed.
Therefore,
\[\omega_H\propto\delta_{\mathrm{br}}.\]
This is the central physical result.
24. Schwarzschild Is the Maximally Separated Endpoint
For Schwarzschild,
\[j = 0, q = 0\]
Then
\[\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}} = j_M\]
The branch counts become
\[S_+ = 4\pi j_M\]
and
\[S_- = 0\]
Therefore,
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} = 1\]
Within this normalized family, the branch distinction is maximal.
25. The Schwarzschild Hawking Clock Follows
At
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} = 1\]
the thermal bridge becomes
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_{\mathrm{Schw}}}{Mc^2}=\frac1{8\pi j_M}\]
Therefore,
\[\omega_{\mathrm{Schw}}=\frac{c^3}{8\pi GM}\]
This is the standard Schwarzschild Hawking phase-frequency read.
26. Rotation and Charge Reduce the Branch Gap
Moving away from the Schwarzschild point at fixed mass increases
\[j^2 + j_M q^2\]
Therefore,
\[\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
decreases.
Since
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} = 4\pi\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
the outer–inner multiplicity gap decreases.
The Hawking clock decreases with it.
27. The Thermal Clock Approaches Zero at Extremality
At extremality,
\[\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}} = 0\]
Therefore,
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
and
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
Hence,
\[\omega_H = 0\]
And therefore,
\[T_H = 0\]
within the standard stationary semiclassical Kerr–Newman calibration.
28. Total Horizon Multiplicity Does Not Vanish
At the same extremal point,
\[S_+ > 0\]
Thus,
\[\omega_H=0\quad\text{while}\quad S_+>0\]
Therefore,
\[\omega_H \ne S_+\]
Hawking recurrence is not a direct read of the amount of horizon multiplicity.
29. Retention Does Not Vanish
Addendum 48 defined the cumulative retention read
\[R_{\mathrm{KN}} = S_{\mathrm{Schw}} - S_+\]
At nontrivial extremality this quantity remains nonzero.
Yet
\[\omega_H = 0\]
Therefore,
\[\omega_H \ne R_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
Hawking recurrence is not the retained horizon coordinate.
30. Stationary Asymmetry Does Not Track Hawking Recurrence
Addendum 48 mapped the stationary family to
\[dP_{\mathrm{KN}} = dR_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
Thus
\[dA_{\mathrm{KN}} = 0\]
throughout the stationary family.
But
\[\omega_H\]
varies continuously from the Schwarzschild value to zero.
Therefore Hawking recurrence cannot be the physical read of the stationary R²D asymmetry.
Thus,
\[\omega_H \ne A_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
31. Extremality Is Not “More Stalled” Than Schwarzschild
Because
\[dA_{\mathrm{KN}} = 0\]
already characterizes the stationary family under the Addendum 48 mapping, extremality is not the point at which stall is newly achieved.
What changes at extremality is
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}}\]
It reaches zero.
Thus:
extremality = branch closure,
not
extremality = onset of stationary stall.
32. The Horizon Boundary Does Not Depend on Hawking Recurrence for Its Existence
If Hawking recurrence constituted the horizon boundary itself, then
\[\omega_H = 0\]
would imply disappearance of that boundary.
But at extremality,
\[S_+ > 0\]
and retained charge and/or rotation remains.
Therefore,
Hawking recurrence does not sustain the horizon boundary.
The boundary sustains the distinction that the Hawking clock reads.
33. The Causal Inversion Is Therefore Clear
The conventional presentation often begins with surface gravity,
\[\kappa_H\]
and derives temperature.
R²D pushes the interpretation earlier.
The physical state defines two projected branches.
Those branches possess a radial and multiplicity separation.
That separation then appears in surface gravity.
Thus the explanatory ordering is
branch distinction → \(\\kappa_H\) → \(\\omega_H\) → \(T_H\) .
Not the reverse.
34. Surface Gravity Is a Later Geometric Read
Since
\[\omega_H=\frac{\kappa_H}{2\pi c}\]
and
\[\omega_H \propto \delta_{\mathrm{br}}\]
at fixed mass, we have
\[\kappa_H \propto \delta_{\mathrm{br}}\]
Thus surface gravity itself is a physical geometric read conditioned by branch separation.
It does not define the primitive horizon state.
35. Hawking Temperature Comes Later Still
Using
\[k_B T_H = \hbar\omega_H\]
we obtain
\[\frac{k_BT_H}{Mc^2}=\frac{\delta_{\mathrm{br}}}{8\pi j_M}\]
Thus the ordering is
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} \to \omega_H \to T_H\]
The temperature is the final thermal dimensionalization.
36. Hawking Recurrence Is Not the Directed Enclosing Gravitational Recurrence
The gravitational horizon was already interpreted in Addendum 42 as a readability boundary.
The relevant exterior-directed gravitational read reaches complete retention at the horizon.
Hawking recurrence remains a different physical quantity.
Therefore the thermal frequency
\[\omega_H\]
cannot simply be identified with the directed enclosing recurrence whose readability was lost at horizon formation.
Thus,
\[\omega_H \ne \rho_{\mathrm{directed}}\]
without a separate derived bridge.
37. Hawking Recurrence Is Not the Primitive Gravitational Clock
At extremality,
\[\omega_H = 0\]
while the gravitational horizon remains fully realized.
Therefore a universal gravitational dimensionalization cannot require nonzero Hawking recurrence.
Hence,
The comparison of \(\omega_H\) with \(\omega_G^{\mathrm{primitive}}\) has a clipped relation glyph [source page 1699; author review].
as a universal identity.
The recurrence scale underlying gravitational dimensionalization remains a separate open problem.
38. This Audits the Count–Clock Relation From Addendum 47
Addendum 47 defined
\[\alpha_G^\omega=\frac{G\hbar\omega^2}{c^5}\]
and found
\[4\pi\alpha_G^\omega S=1\]
for the de Sitter and Nariai count–clock calibration class.
Now define the corresponding Hawking-frequency quantity
\[\alpha_G^H\equiv\frac{G\hbar\omega_H^2}{c^5}\]
Using
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_H}{Mc^2}=\frac{\delta_{\mathrm{br}}}{8\pi j_M}\]
we obtain
\[\alpha_G^H=\frac{\delta_{\mathrm{br}}^2}{64\pi^2j_M}\]
39. Hawking Recurrence Does Not Belong to the Addendum 47 Calibration Class
Multiply by \(4\pi S_+\):
\[4\pi\alpha_G^H S_+=\frac{\delta_{\mathrm{br}}^2S_+}{16\pi j_M}\]
This is not generally unity.
At extremality,
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
so
\[4\pi\alpha_G^H S_+\longrightarrow0\]
Therefore the de Sitter/Nariai count–clock relation from Addendum 47 is not a universal identity for every gravitational thermal clock.
This is an important negative result.
40. Different Boundary Distinctions Can Own Different Clocks
Addendum 46 established that clocks are boundary owned.
Addendum 49 now gives a second example.
The Kerr–Newman Hawking clock is controlled by
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}}\]
the remaining outer–inner branch distinction.
The de Sitter/Nariai clock relation belongs to a different gravitational calibration class.
Thus:
different boundary distinctions → different physical clocks.
No single thermal frequency should automatically be promoted to universal primitive recurrence.
41. The Nariai and Extremal Kerr–Newman Limits Reveal a Common Pattern
At the Nariai limit, the black-hole/cosmological branch distinction closes and the old static-patch clock vanishes.
At Kerr–Newman extremality, the outer/inner horizon branch distinction closes and the Hawking clock vanishes.
In both cases:
boundary-specific distinction → 0
is accompanied by
boundary-specific clock → 0.
Yet physical organization remains.
42. This Pattern Is Suggestive but Not Yet a Canonical Theorem
The repeated structure suggests:
a physical clock may vanish when the distinction defining that clock closes.
But two gravitational examples are not sufficient to elevate this to a universal R²D theorem.
The present addendum treats it as an emerging structural pattern.
43. Hawking Recurrence Should Not Be Called the Background Itself
A physical thermal environment may supply the conventional context in which Hawking temperature is defined.
But the frequency
\[\omega_H\]
is a physical clock read.
It is not identical to an R²D background count.
Therefore,
\[\omega_H \ne \Phi\]
as a count identity.
Nor does
\[\omega_H = 0\]
imply
\[\Phi = 0\]
Physical calibration and count category remain separate.
44. A Better Characterization of Hawking Recurrence
The present analysis supports the narrower statement:
\(\\omega_H\) = thermal phase-frequency read conditioned by horizon-branch distinguishability.
This says exactly what the Kerr–Newman equations support.
It does not assign Hawking frequency a more primitive ontology than the calculation warrants.
45. Principle — Horizon-Branch Multiplicity Gap
For a Kerr–Newman horizon state, define the projected branch multiplicity gap
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}=S_+-S_-=\ln\frac{W_+}{W_-}\]
The Kerr–Newman projection gives
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} = 4\pi\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
At extremality,
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
46. Principle — Horizon-Branch Radial Separation
Define
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}} = r_+ - r_-\]
For Kerr–Newman,
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{2\hbar}{Mc}\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
Therefore,
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{2\pi Mc}{\hbar}\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}\]
These are distinct physical reads of the same projected branch splitting.
47. Principle — Normalized Branch Distinguishability
Define
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}}{S_+}\]
Then
\[0 \le \delta_{\mathrm{br}} \le 1\]
Schwarzschild gives
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} = 1\]
Extremality gives
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
48. Principle — Hawking Recurrence Reads Branch Distinguishability
The Kerr–Newman Hawking phase-frequency satisfies
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_H}{Mc^2}=\frac{\delta_{\mathrm{br}}}{8\pi j_M}\]
Therefore, at fixed mass,
\[\omega_H\propto\delta_{\mathrm{br}}.\]
Hawking recurrence is downstream of the branch distinction.
49. Corollary — Extremality Removes the Hawking Read Without Removing the Horizon
At extremality,
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
Therefore,
\[\omega_H = 0\]
But
\[S_+ > 0\]
and retained rotational and/or charge organization remains.
Thus,
loss of Hawking recurrence = loss of the branch read,
not
loss of the gravitational horizon boundary.
50. Corollary — Hawking Temperature Is Not the R²D Stall Coordinate
Throughout the stationary fixed-mass family,
\[dA_{\mathrm{KN}} = 0\]
under the Addendum 48 mapping.
Yet
\[\omega_H\]
varies continuously.
Therefore,
\[\omega_H \ne A_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
Hawking temperature does not measure departure from or approach to stationary R²D stall.
51. Corollary — Hawking Temperature Is Not Retention
At extremality,
\[R_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
remains nonzero while
\[\omega_H = 0\]
Therefore,
\[\omega_H \ne R_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
Retention and thermal recurrence belong to different horizon relations.
52. Corollary — Hawking Recurrence Cannot Universally Calibrate Gravity
The gravitational horizon remains realized when
\[\omega_H = 0\]
Therefore Hawking recurrence cannot be a universally necessary clock for gravitational existence or gravitational dimensionalization.
Thus:
Hawking clock versus a universal gravitational clock: relation and ending clipped [source page 1705; author review].
53. Logical Status
Canonical R²D
A count boundary possesses boundary-defined multiplicity
\[S = \ln W\]
Multiplicity, retention, asymmetry, background, and physical recurrence are distinct count or calibration categories.
Physical distinguishability may acquire different downstream reads.
Established in Addendum 48
At fixed mass,
\[j^2+j_Mq^2\le j_M^2\]
\[\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}=\sqrt{j_M^2-j^2-j_Mq^2}\]
and
\[S_\pm = 2\pi(j_M \pm \Delta_{\mathrm{KN}} ) - \pi q^2\]
The stationary family is mapped to
\[dP_{\mathrm{KN}} = dR_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
so
\[dA_{\mathrm{KN}} = 0\]
Derived Branch Relations
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}} = S_+ - S_- = 4\pi\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
and
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}=r_+-r_-=\frac{2\hbar}{Mc}\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
Therefore,
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{2\pi Mc}{\hbar}\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}\]
Conventional Thermal Input
The outer-horizon surface gravity is
\[\kappa_H=\frac{c^2(r_+-r_-)}{2(r_+^2+a^2)}\]
The Hawking phase-frequency read is
\[\omega_H=\frac{\kappa_H}{2\pi c}\]
Derived Thermal Bridge
\[\omega_H=\frac{c\,\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}}{4\ell_P^2S_+}\]
and
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_H}{Mc^2}=\frac{S_+-S_-}{8\pi j_MS_+}\]
Defining
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{S_+-S_-}{S_+}\]
gives
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_H}{Mc^2}=\frac{\delta_{\mathrm{br}}}{8\pi j_M}\]
New R²D Interpretation
The Hawking clock is interpreted as a thermal physical read conditioned by the projected outer–inner branch distinction.
It is not interpreted as:
• primitive horizon recurrence; • total horizon multiplicity; • cumulative retention; • P − R; • the directed enclosing gravitational recurrence; • R²D background itself; • or a universal gravitational clock.
Not Established Here
This addendum does not establish:
• a primitive R²D derivation of Hawking radiation;
• a microscopic emission mechanism;
• that $\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}$ is primitive $\lambda$;
• that $\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}$ is primitive $\lambda$;
• that every vanishing physical clock implies closure of a count distinction;
• that inner-horizon multiplicity is an independent thermodynamic reservoir;
• or that the semiclassical Hawking calibration remains complete under all quantum-gravitational
extremal corrections.
54. The Central R²D Inversion
The conventional route is
\[\kappa_H\]
↓
\[T_H\]
R²D asks what physical distinction the surface gravity is reading.
For Kerr–Newman, the sequence can be pushed earlier:
\[B_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
↓
\[(j, q)\]
↓
\[\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
↓
\[r_+ - r_- , S_+ - S_-\]
↓
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}}\]
↓
\[\kappa_H\]
↓
\[\omega_H\]
↓
\[T_H\]
The branch distinction comes before the thermal clock.
55. Conclusion
The Kerr–Newman extremal limit does more than send Hawking temperature to zero.
It reveals what the Hawking clock is physically reading.
A fixed-mass Kerr–Newman horizon state possesses two projected branches,
\[r_+\]
and
\[r_-\]
Their radial separation is
\[\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}=r_+-r_-=\frac{2\hbar}{Mc}\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
Their logarithmic multiplicity separation is
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}=S_+-S_-=\ln\frac{W_+}{W_-}=4\pi\Delta_{\mathrm{KN}}\]
These are distinct physical reads of the same projected branch splitting.
They satisfy
\[\Delta S_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{2\pi Mc}{\hbar}\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}\]
The Hawking phase-frequency read is
\[\omega_H=\frac{c\,\Delta r_{\mathrm{br}}}{4\ell_P^2S_+}\]
Equivalently,
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_H}{Mc^2}=\frac{S_+-S_-}{8\pi j_MS_+}\]
Define
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}}=\frac{S_+-S_-}{S_+}\]
Then
\[\frac{\hbar\omega_H}{Mc^2}=\frac{\delta_{\mathrm{br}}}{8\pi j_M}\]
At Schwarzschild,
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} = 1\]
At extremality,
\[\delta_{\mathrm{br}} = 0\]
Therefore,
\[\omega_H \to 0\]
But at that same point,
\[S_+ > 0\]
The gravitational horizon remains.
Rotational and/or charge organization remains.
The stationary retention relation remains well defined.
And the differential stall condition
\[dA_{\mathrm{KN}} = 0\]
was already satisfied throughout the stationary family.
Thus Hawking recurrence is not the horizon count.
It is not horizon retention.
It is not the R²D asymmetry.
It is not the directed enclosing gravitational recurrence.
And it is not a universal primitive clock for gravity.
What disappears at extremality is specifically the projected outer–inner branch distinction.
The Hawking clock disappears with it.
The resulting hierarchy is
horizon state → branch distinction → surface gravity → Hawking recurrence → temperature.
Thus:
Hawking recurrence does not sustain the horizon. It reads a projected distinguishability that the hor
And therefore:
horizon-branch distinguishability occurs before Hawking recurrence.
