Addendum 42 — Gravitational Retention Occurs Before Schwarzschild Geometry

Area-First Compactness, Static Exterior Readability, and the Schwarzschild Clock–Ruler Projection

Abstract

Schwarzschild geometry is conventionally introduced as the static, spherically symmetric vacuum solution of Einstein’s field equation:

\[ds^2=-\left(1-\frac{2GM}{c^2r}\right)c^2dt^2+\left(1-\frac{2GM}{c^2r}\right)^{-1}dr^2+r^2d\Omega^2.\]

Recursively Realized Distinguishability (R²D) places this metric late in the logical sequence.

Addendum 35 established that clock and ruler coordinates are projections of an enclosing reference relation.

Addendum 37 distinguished free fall from local support and identified gravity with changing enclosing reference rather than local proper acceleration.

Addendum 38 placed differential free-fall motion before curvature.

Addendum 39 obtained the Einstein equation as the minimal covariant compatibility relation within a specified four-dimensional metric projection class.

Addendum 40 then returned to the weak-field empirical regime and derived

\[\frac{d^2\mathbf r}{dt^2}=-\mu_G\frac{\mathbf r}{r^3},\]

from Keplerian closure, where

\[\mu_G=\frac{4\pi^2a^3}{T^2}.\]

is the directly readable shared gravitational calibration.

Addendum 41 showed that under spherical projection the prior enclosing geometric read is area,

\[A_G,\]

with areal radius defined only afterward:

\[r_A=\sqrt{\frac{A_G}{4\pi}}.\]

It introduced the area-first compactness

\[\chi_G\equiv\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}\sqrt{\frac{4\pi}{A_G}}.\]

The present addendum asks what clock-ruler geometry this compactness acquires under the mature metric projection.

Take the static spherically symmetric exterior metric in areal coordinates,

\[ds^2=-N^2(r_A)c^2dt^2+H^2(r_A)dr_A^2+r_A^2d\Omega^2.\]

In vacuum, with vanishing cosmological constant, the Einstein equation derived in Addendum 39 gives

\[\frac d{dr_A}\left[r_A(1-H^{-2})\right]=0.\]

and

\[\frac d{dr_A}\ln(NH)=0.\]

Hence,

\[H^{-2}=1-\frac{r_s}{r_A},\]

and asymptotic flatness gives

\[NH=1.\]

Therefore,

\[N^2=1-\frac{r_s}{r_A}.\]

The remaining integration constant is fixed by the weak-field Kepler relation. Matching to

\[g_G=\frac{\mu_G}{r_A^2}\]

gives

\[r_s=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}.\]

Thus

\[N^2=1-\chi_G=1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

The exterior geometry is therefore

\[ds^2=-(1-\chi_G)c^2dt^2+(1-\chi_G)^{-1}dr_A^2+r_A^2d\Omega^2.\]

Only after the conventional source calibration

\[\mu_G=GM.\]

does this become the familiar Schwarzschild form.

R²D now supplies a prior count relation.

Let PG denote the compatible gravitational possibility relevant to the exterior-directed read and RG the retained part. Define

\[q_G\equiv\frac{R_G}{P_G},\]

and the normalized residual exterior-readable fraction

\[\alpha_G\equiv\frac{P_G-R_G}{P_G}.\]

Then

\[q_G+\alpha_G=1.\]

The Schwarzschild solution supplies the physical calibration

\[\alpha_G=N=\sqrt{1-\chi_G}.\]

Therefore,

\[q_G=1-\sqrt{1-\chi_G}.\]

The primitive partition remains linear:

\[q_G+\alpha_G=1.\]

The nonlinear relation to compactness appears only in the metric projection:

\[\chi_G=2q_G-q_G^2.\]

For weak gravity,

\[q_G=\frac{\mu_G}{c^2r_A}+O\!\left(\frac{\mu_G^2}{c^4r_A^2}\right).\]

Using the local rest-energy calibration from Addendum 36,

\[E_0=mc^2,\]

the leading retained energetic read becomes

\[q_Gmc^2\simeq\frac{\mu_Gm}{r_A},\]

which is the magnitude of the Newtonian gravitational binding/work coordinate.

At

\[\chi_G=1,\]

the static lapse vanishes:

\[\alpha_G=0.\]

Hence,

\[q_G=1.\]

Under the R²D mapping, the Schwarzschild horizon is therefore complete retention of the selected exterior static read:

\[R_G=P_G.\]

But the boundary has not disappeared.

Its enclosing area remains finite:

\[A_H=\frac{16\pi\mu_G^2}{c^4}.\]

Only afterward does the horizon areal radius follow:

\[r_H=\sqrt{\frac{A_H}{4\pi}}=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}.\]

The horizon is therefore area first.

For a static local clock,

\[\frac{d\tau}{dt}=N=\alpha_G.\]

On a static spatial slice,

\[\frac{d\ell_r}{dr_A}=H=\frac1{\alpha_G}.\]

Thus

\[\frac{d\tau}{dt}\frac{d\ell_r}{dr_A}=1.\]

The reciprocal clock-ruler structure that the earlier R²D development sought is therefore not an additional assumption here. It is a consequence of the static spherical vacuum metric projection.

At the horizon,

\[\frac{d\tau}{dt}\longrightarrow0,\]

while

\[\frac{d\ell_r}{dr_A}\longrightarrow\infty.\]

This is the breakdown of the static exterior coordinate decomposition.

It is not destruction of local realization.

A freely falling observer has zero proper acceleration and crosses the horizon without encountering a local curvature singularity. A static observer, by contrast, requires proper support acceleration

\[a_{\mathrm{support}}=\frac{\mu_G}{r_A^2\sqrt{1-\chi_G}},\]

which diverges as

\[\chi_G\longrightarrow1.\]

The divergence belongs to the differential constraint required to prevent free fall.

It is not an infinite primitive gravitational force.

Thus the Schwarzschild solution contains two complementary reads already anticipated by R²D:

free fall = common gravitational realization,

whereas

static support = differential local constraint.

The central claim is therefore:

gravitational retention occurs before Schwarzschild geometry.

More precisely:

the R²D possibility-retention partition exists before metric geometry; Schwarzschild geometry supp

1. Addendum 41 Leaves the Schwarzschild Problem in Area-First Form

Addendum 41 introduced the enclosing gravitational area

\[A_G\]

before the spherical radial coordinate.

The areal radius is

\[r_A=\sqrt{\frac{A_G}{4\pi}}.\]

The shared Keplerian calibration is

\[\mu_G.\]

Thus the dimensionless compactness is

\[\chi_G=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

Or directly in terms of area,

\[\chi_G=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}\sqrt{\frac{4\pi}{A_G}}.\]

Nothing about the horizon has yet been assumed.

2. The Next Question Is About Clock-Ruler Geometry

The compactness coordinate compares the gravitational calibration

\[\mu_G\]

with the enclosing areal scale.

What remains unknown is how increasing compactness changes:

 • the static exterior clock read;
 • the relation between areal radius and proper radial distance;
 • the causal accessibility of the interior relation.

That is the Schwarzschild problem.

3. Schwarzschild Geometry Is Downstream of Addendum 39

The earlier gravitational addenda once attempted to reach Schwarzschild geometry before the Einstein equation had been reconstructed.

The logical sequence is now stronger.

Addendum 39 already established, conditionally on the specified metric projection class,

\[G_{\mu\nu}+\Lambda g_{\mu\nu}=\frac{8\pi G}{c^4}T_{\mu\nu}.\]

Therefore the Schwarzschild exterior should now be obtained as a particular solution of that mature projection.

R²D interpretation follows afterward.

4. Specify the Physical Regime Assume:

  1. four-dimensional metric geometry;
  2. spherical symmetry;
  3. a vacuum exterior,

\[T_{\mu\nu}=0;\]

  1. vanishing local cosmological term for the Schwarzschild problem,

\[\Lambda=0;\]

  1. static exterior geometry;
  2. asymptotic flatness.

These are the physical projection assumptions defining the Schwarzschild exterior problem.

5. Use Areal Radius From the Beginning

Because Addendum 41 has already defined

\[r_A=\sqrt{\frac{A_G}{4\pi}},\]

the most general static spherical metric may be written

\[ds^2=-N^2(r_A)c^2dt^2+H^2(r_A)dr_A^2+r_A^2d\Omega^2.\]

The angular sector is fixed by the prior area definition.

Thus rA is not an arbitrary coordinate choice introduced by the Schwarzschild derivation.

Its geometric ownership is already known.

6. The Angular Sector Contains No New Radial Assumption

Since

\[A_G=4\pi r_A^2,\]

the metric on each spherical symmetry orbit is

\[r_A^2d\Omega^2.\]

This term describes enclosing area.

It does not say that

\[dr_A\]

is proper radial distance.

That relation is determined separately by

\[H(r_A).\]

7. Apply the Vacuum Einstein Equation

In the vacuum exterior,

\[G_{\mu\nu}=0.\]

For the static spherical ansatz above, one independent vacuum equation can be written

\[\frac d{dr_A}\left[r_A(1-H^{-2})\right]=0.\]

Therefore,

\[r_A(1-H^{-2})=r_s,\]

where rs is an integration constant with dimensions of length.

Hence,

\[H^{-2}=1-\frac{r_s}{r_A}.\]

8. The Second Vacuum Relation Is Reciprocal

A second independent combination of the static spherical vacuum equations gives

\[\frac d{dr_A}\ln(NH)=0.\]

Therefore,

\[NH=C,\]

where C is constant.

Asymptotic flatness requires

\[N\longrightarrow1,\qquad H\longrightarrow1\]

as

\[r_A\longrightarrow\infty.\]

Thus,

\[C=1.\]

Therefore,

\[NH=1.\]

9. The Vacuum Geometry Already Gives Reciprocal Clock-Ruler Scaling

Since

\[NH=1,\]

we obtain

\[N=\frac1H.\]

Using

\[H^{-2}=1-\frac{r_s}{r_A},\]

gives

\[N^2=1-\frac{r_s}{r_A}.\]

Thus the reciprocal radial and temporal coefficients arise directly from the static spherical vacuum field equation.

They do not need to be imposed separately.

10. One Integration Constant Remains

The solution currently contains

\[r_s.\]

The metric projection itself has not yet identified this constant with mass.

That identification must come from the weak-field physical calibration.

This is where Addendum 40 enters.

11. Return to the Keplerian Weak-Field Limit

Addendum 40 established

\[g_G=\frac{\mu_G}{r_A^2}.\]

in the weak-field spherical regime.

Introduce the corresponding potential coordinate with zero at infinity:

\[\Phi_G=-\frac{\mu_G}{r_A}.\]

In a weak static metric,

\[N^2\simeq1+\frac{2\Phi_G}{c^2}.\]

Therefore,

\[N^2\simeq1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

12. Match the Vacuum Integration Constant to Kepler

The exact vacuum solution gives

\[N^2=1-\frac{r_s}{r_A}.\]

The Keplerian weak-field limit gives

\[N^2\simeq1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

Therefore,

\[r_s=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}.\]

The Schwarzschild length is thus fixed by the shared gravitational calibration measured through orbital closure.

13. The Exact Schwarzschild Lapse Follows

Substitute

\[r_s=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}.\]

Then

\[N^2=1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

But Addendum 41 defined

\[\chi_G=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

Therefore,

\[N^2=1-\chi_G.\]

And

\[N=\sqrt{1-\chi_G}.\]

14. The Complete Exterior Geometry

Since

\[H=N^{-1},\]

the line element becomes

\[ds^2=-(1-\chi_G)c^2dt^2+(1-\chi_G)^{-1}dr_A^2+r_A^2d\Omega^2.\]

Using

\[\chi_G=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A},\]

this is

\[ds^2=-\left(1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}\right)c^2dt^2+\left(1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}\right)^{-1}dr_A^2+r_A^2d\Omega^2.\]

15. GM Comes After μG

For the dominant-source Newtonian calibration,

\(\mu_G=GM\).

Then

\[ds^2=-\left(1-\frac{2GM}{c^2r_A}\right)c^2dt^2+\left(1-\frac{2GM}{c^2r_A}\right)^{-1}dr_A^2+r_A^2d\Omega^2.\]

This is the standard exterior Schwarzschild coordinate form.

But the R²D ordering remains:

Keplerian \(\mu_G\longrightarrow\) Schwarzschild length \(\longrightarrow GM\) decomposition.

16. Schwarzschild Geometry Can Be Written Without Primitive Radius

Because

\[r_A=\sqrt{\frac{A_G}{4\pi}},\]

compactness can be written

\[\chi_G(A_G)=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}\sqrt{\frac{4\pi}{A_G}}.\]

Also,

\[dr_A=\frac{dA_G}{8\pi r_A}.\]

Therefore,

\[dr_A^2=\frac{dA_G^2}{16\pi A_G}.\]

The Schwarzschild metric may therefore be written directly in area coordinates:

\[ds^2=-[1-\chi_G(A_G)]c^2dt^2+\frac{dA_G^2}{16\pi A_G[1-\chi_G(A_G)]}+\frac{A_G}{4\pi}d\Omega^2.\]

No primitive radius is mathematically required.

17. Area Before Radius Survives the Entire Schwarzschild Solution

The metric is usually written with rA because that scalar is convenient.

But every occurrence of rA can be reconstructed from

\[A_G.\]

Thus even the exact strong-field geometry preserves the order

\(A_G\longrightarrow r_A\).

The Schwarzschild solution does not reverse Addendum 41.

It confirms it.

18. Return to the R²D Possibility-Retention Partition

Before any metric projection, R²D distinguishes compatible possibility from retained possibility.

Let

\[P_G\]

denote the relevant compatible gravitational possibility.

Let

\[R_G\]

denote its retained component.

Define the normalized retained fraction

\[q_G\equiv\frac{R_G}{P_G}.\]

Define the residual exterior-readable fraction

\[\alpha_G\equiv\frac{P_G-R_G}{P_G}.\]

Then

\[q_G+\alpha_G=1.\]

This linear relation exists before Schwarzschild geometry.

19. The Metric Supplies the Exact Physical Calibration

The static Schwarzschild geometry has lapse

\[N=\sqrt{1-\chi_G}.\]

The natural R²D physical mapping is

\[\alpha_G\overset{\mathrm{physical\ mapping}}{=}N.\]

That is,

\[\frac{P_G-R_G}{P_G}=\sqrt{1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}}.\]

The hat denotes physical mapping.

This is not a theorem of primitive combinatorics.

20. The Exact Retention Fraction

Since

\[q_G=1-\alpha_G,\]

we obtain

\[q_G=1-\sqrt{1-\chi_G}.\]

Thus

\[\frac{R_G}{P_G}=1-\sqrt{1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}}.\]

This is the exact static Schwarzschild retention calibration.

21. Retention Is Not Compactness

The linear R²D partition is

\[q_G+\alpha_G=1.\]

The Schwarzschild projection gives

\[\alpha_G+\chi_G=1.\]

Therefore,

\[(1-q_G)^2=1-\chi_G.\]

Hence,

\[\chi_G=2q_G-q_G^2.\]

Thus:

\[q_G\ne\chi_G.\]

They belong to different logical levels.

22. The Square Belongs to the Projection

The relation

\[q_G+\alpha_G=1\]

is the normalized possibility-retention partition.

It is linear.

The relation

\[\alpha_G+\chi_G=1\]

appears after metric projection.

Therefore:

linear retention partition \(\longrightarrow\) quadratic Schwarzschild projection.

The square is not a primitive R²D law.

23. Weak Compactness Tests the Mapping

Define

\[u_G\equiv\frac{\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

Then

\[\chi_G=2u_G.\]

The exact retention fraction is

\[q_G=1-\sqrt{1-2u_G}.\]

For

\[u_G\ll1,\]

expand:

\[\sqrt{1-2u_G}=1-u_G-\frac12u_G^2-\cdots.\]

Therefore,

\[q_G=u_G+\frac12u_G^2+\cdots.\]

To first order,

\[q_G\simeq\frac{\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

24. Addendum 36 Supplies the Energetic Calibration

Addendum 36 derived

\[E_0=mc^2.\]

Use this as the local invariant energy scale for the selected massive boundary.

Then the retained energetic read is

\[E_{\mathrm{ret}}=q_Gmc^2.\]

In the weak field,

\[E_{\mathrm{ret}}\simeq\frac{\mu_G}{c^2r_A}mc^2.\]

Thus,

\[E_{\mathrm{ret}}\simeq\frac{\mu_Gm}{r_A}.\]

After

\(\mu_G=GM\),

\[E_{\mathrm{ret}}\simeq\frac{GMm}{r_A}.\]

This is the magnitude of the Newtonian gravitational binding/work coordinate.

25. The Factor of Two Is No Longer Mysterious

Schwarzschild compactness is

\[\chi_G=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

The weak-field retention fraction is

\[q_G\simeq\frac{\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

Thus,

\[\chi_G\simeq2q_G.\]

The factor of two follows from the nonlinear relation

\[\chi_G=2q_G-q_G^2.\]

Compactness and retention are not the same coordinate.

26. The Asymptotically Weak Limit

As

\[r_A\longrightarrow\infty,\]

we have

\[\chi_G\longrightarrow0.\]

Therefore,

\[N\longrightarrow1,\]

\[\alpha_G\longrightarrow1,\]

and

\[q_G\longrightarrow0.\]

Thus the exterior static read approaches the ordinary asymptotically inertial reference.

27. The Horizon Is Defined by the Lapse Zero

The static Schwarzschild lapse vanishes when

\[N^2=0.\]

Therefore,

\[1-\chi_G=0.\]

Hence,

\[\chi_H=1.\]

Equivalently,

\[r_H=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}.\]

After \(\mu_G=GM\),

\[r_H=\frac{2GM}{c^2}.\]

28. The Horizon Is More Fundamentally an Area Condition

Because

\[\chi_G=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}\sqrt{\frac{4\pi}{A_G}},\]

the condition

\[\chi_H=1\]

gives

\[1=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}\sqrt{\frac{4\pi}{A_H}}.\]

Therefore,

\[A_H=\frac{16\pi\mu_G^2}{c^4}.\]

Only afterward,

\[r_H=\sqrt{\frac{A_H}{4\pi}}.\]

Thus:

\(A_H\longrightarrow r_H\).

The horizon is area first.

29. Complete Static Retention at the Horizon

At

\[\chi_H=1,\]

we have

\[\alpha_G=0.\]

Therefore,

\[q_G=1.\]

Hence,

\[R_G=P_G.\]

Under the present physical mapping, the Schwarzschild horizon corresponds to complete retention of the selected exterior static gravitational read.

30. Complete Retention Does Not Mean All Local Activity Stops

The statement

\[R_G=P_G\]

does not imply:

• local proper time ceases; • infalling matter stops; • local recurrence disappears; • the boundary ceases to exist; • the horizon area vanishes.

It refers specifically to the exterior static readability relation represented by the Schwarzschild lapse.

Thus:

complete exterior retention \(\ne\) local nonrealization. [PDF callout clipped; author review required.]

31. Static Clock Read

For a static worldline,

\[dr_A=d\Omega=0.\]

The Schwarzschild metric gives

\[d\tau^2=N^2dt^2.\]

Therefore,

\[\frac{d\tau}{dt}=N=\alpha_G.\]

Thus

\[\frac{d\tau}{dt}=\sqrt{1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}}.\]

32. Gravitational Redshift Is the Same Static Read

Suppose a local recurrent process completes NC cycles.

Locally,

\[N_C=f_{\mathrm{loc}}\,d\tau.\]

The asymptotic static reference assigns

\[N_C=f_{\infty}\,dt.\]

Therefore,

\[f_{\mathrm{loc}}\,d\tau=f_{\infty}\,dt.\]

Hence,

\[\frac{f_\infty}{f_{\mathrm{loc}}}=\frac{d\tau}{dt}=\alpha_G.\]

So

\[f_\infty=\alpha_G f_{\mathrm{loc}}.\]

As the horizon is approached,

\[f_\infty\longrightarrow0\]

for a finite locally realized recurrence.

33. Exterior Redshift Is Not Local Recurrence Destruction

At the horizon,

\[\alpha_G\longrightarrow0.\]

Therefore the asymptotic static read of a local recurrence vanishes.

But this does not require

\[f_{\mathrm{loc}}\longrightarrow0.\]

Thus:

exterior recurrence unreadability \(\ne\) local recurrence destruction. [PDF callout clipped; author review required.]

The relation is boundary relative.

34. Proper Radial Distance Is Reciprocal

On a static Schwarzschild-time spatial slice,

\[dt=d\Omega=0.\]

Therefore,

\[d\ell_r=H\,dr_A.\]

Since

\[H=N^{-1},\]

we obtain

\[\frac{d\ell_r}{dr_A}=\frac1{\alpha_G}.\]

Thus

\[d\ell_r=\frac{dr_A}{\sqrt{1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}}}.\]

35. The Clock-Ruler Relation Is Exactly Reciprocal

Combine

\[\frac{d\tau}{dt}=\alpha_G\]

with

\[\frac{d\ell_r}{dr_A}=\alpha_G^{-1}.\]

Then

\[\frac{d\tau}{dt}\frac{d\ell_r}{dr_A}=1.\]

The reciprocal clock-ruler relation is therefore an exact property of the static Schwarzschild exterior projection.

It need not be assumed independently.

36. The Areal Radius Remains Distinct From Proper Distance

At weak compactness,

\[\alpha_G\simeq1,\]

so

\[d\ell_r\simeq dr_A.\]

As compactness grows,

\[\alpha_G<1,\]

and therefore

\[d\ell_r>dr_A.\]

Thus Schwarzschild geometry realizes precisely the distinction introduced in Addendum 41:

\[r_A\ne\ell_r.\]

37. The Divergent Differential Does Not Mean Infinite Distance to the Horizon

As

\[r_A\longrightarrow r_H^+,\]

\[\frac{d\ell_r}{dr_A}\longrightarrow\infty.\]

But the divergence is integrable.

The proper radial distance across a finite exterior interval is

\[\ell_r=\int\frac{dr_A}{\sqrt{1-r_H/r_A}}.\]

A finite exterior point lies at finite proper distance from the horizon along a Schwarzschild-time slice.

Thus:

\[\frac{d\ell_r}{dr_A}\longrightarrow\infty\]

does not mean

\[\ell_r\longrightarrow\infty\]

at the horizon.

38. Static Support Provides the Local Mechanical Read

Addendum 37 distinguished free fall from support.

A freely falling boundary satisfies

\[a^{\mathrm{prop}}=0.\]

A static boundary outside Schwarzschild must instead be continually supported.

For a static observer, the required proper acceleration magnitude is

\[a_{\mathrm{support}}=\frac{\mu_G}{r_A^2\sqrt{1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}}}.\]

Equivalently,

\[a_{\mathrm{support}}=\frac{\mu_G}{r_A^2\alpha_G}.\]

39. The Support Acceleration Recovers Kepler in the Weak Field

When

\[\chi_G\ll1,\]

\[\alpha_G\simeq1.\]

Therefore,

\[a_{\mathrm{support}}\simeq\frac{\mu_G}{r_A^2}.\]

This is the weak-field gravitational acceleration magnitude derived from Keplerian closure in Addendum 40.

The strong-field correction belongs to the support constraint.

40. Static Support Diverges at the Horizon

As

\[\alpha_G\longrightarrow0,\]

\[a_{\mathrm{support}}\longrightarrow\infty.\]

This divergence does not mean that a freely falling boundary experiences infinite proper acceleration.

It means that no timelike static observer can remain fixed at the horizon.

Thus:

support divergence \(\ne\) primitive gravitational singularity. [PDF callout clipped; author review required.]

41. Free Fall Remains Locally Unaccelerated

For an ideal freely falling boundary,

\[a^{\mathrm{prop}}=0.\]

This remains true while crossing the Schwarzschild horizon.

The distinction is exactly the one established in Addendum 37:

free fall = participation in the shared gravitational relation,

whereas

support = local differential opposition to that relation.

42. The Horizon Is a Failure of the Static Exterior Decomposition

At

\[r_A=r_H,\]

Schwarzschild coordinates give

\[g_{tt}\longrightarrow0,\]

and

\[g_{r_Ar_A}\longrightarrow\infty.\]

The static exterior clock-ruler decomposition therefore ceases to be jointly readable there.

But this does not mean the spacetime itself ends.

Coordinates adapted to free fall continue through the horizon.

Thus the Schwarzschild-coordinate singularity belongs to the static exterior projection.

43. The Horizon Is Nevertheless a Real Geometric Boundary

The fact that the Schwarzschild coordinate singularity can be removed does not make the horizon unreal.

The horizon is a genuine null causal boundary in the mature spacetime geometry.

R²D therefore should not say:

horizon = mere coordinate artifact.

The more precise statement is:

the divergence of the static clock-ruler coordinates is projection dependent, while the horizon’s causal boundary is

44. The Horizon Is Not a Curvature Singularity

Addendum 38 identified the local spherical tidal eigenvalues in the weak-field/static exterior form as

\[\frac{2\mu_G}{r_A^3},\qquad-\frac{\mu_G}{r_A^3},\qquad-\frac{\mu_G}{r_A^3}.\]

At

\[r_H=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2},\]

these remain finite for finite nonzero μG .

Therefore:

event horizon \(\ne\) curvature singularity.

This is fully consistent with the readability interpretation.

45. Horizon Readability Is One-Sided

At the horizon:

\[\alpha_G=0,\]

while

\[A_H>0.\]

Thus one geometric distinction remains well defined while the exterior static recurrence read vanishes.

The physical structure is

area readable + static exterior clock read lost.

This is the gravitational one-sided-readability structure anticipated by R²D.

46. The Horizon Is Not Landscape Collapse

Landscape collapse would mean that the count domain itself is no longer realized.

The Schwarzschild horizon does not imply this.

At the horizon:

• area remains finite; • tidal curvature can remain finite; • infalling realizations continue; • local proper time continues.

Therefore:

horizon \(\ne\) landscape collapse.

47. The Horizon Is Not Second-Law Irreversibility

Nothing in

\[\alpha_G=0\]

or

\[R_G=P_G\]

requires occurrence-count nonreciprocity.

Thus:

gravitational retention \(\ne\) Second-Law irreversibility. [PDF callout clipped; author review required.]

A horizon can be defined in an ideal time-reversal-symmetric spacetime.

48. Retention Is Also Not Background

The retained fraction

\[q_G\]

belongs to the selected gravitational possibility-retention relation.

R²D background is a distinct nondirectional count coordinate.

Therefore:

\[R_G\ne\Phi_G.\]

Complete gravitational retention should not be described as conversion of all local possibility into background.

These are different recursive roles.

49. The Horizon Area Comes Before Horizon Entropy

The present addendum gives

\[A_H=\frac{16\pi\mu_G^2}{c^4}.\]

After \(\mu_G=GM\),

\[A_H=\frac{16\pi G^2M^2}{c^4}.\]

This is purely the geometric horizon area.

No entropy relation has yet been used.

Therefore:

horizon geometry \(\longrightarrow A_H\)

comes before the Bekenstein-Hawking calibration

\[S_H=\frac{A_H}{4\ell_P^2}.\]

That belongs to Addendum 43.

50. The Schwarzschild Solution Confirms Area Before Radius

The usual Schwarzschild line element hides the hierarchy because it begins with r .

The area-coordinate form makes it explicit:

\[ds^2=-[1-\chi_G(A_G)]c^2dt^2+\frac{dA_G^2}{16\pi A_G[1-\chi_G(A_G)]}+\frac{A_G}{4\pi}d\Omega^2.\]

Thus every radial quantity can be reconstructed from the enclosing area.

The strong-field solution does not require primitive radial ontology.

51. Principle — Static Gravitational Retention

For the selected exterior static gravitational read, define

\[q_G=\frac{R_G}{P_G},\]

and

\[\alpha_G=1-q_G.\]

Under the Schwarzschild physical mapping,

\[\alpha_G=\sqrt{1-\chi_G}.\]

Therefore,

\[q_G=1-\sqrt{1-\chi_G}.\]

Complete static retention occurs at

\[\chi_G=1.\]

52. Principle — Reciprocal Schwarzschild Clock-Ruler Read

For a static Schwarzschild exterior relation,

\[\frac{d\tau}{dt}=\alpha_G,\]

while

\[\frac{d\ell_r}{dr_A}=\alpha_G^{-1}.\]

Therefore,

\[\frac{d\tau}{dt}\frac{d\ell_r}{dr_A}=1.\]

Temporal slowing and radial proper-distance expansion are reciprocal static reads of the same exterior geometry.

53. Conditional Theorem — Area-First Schwarzschild Projection Assume:

  1. the four-dimensional metric projection established in Addendum 39;
  2. vanishing exterior stress-energy;
  3. \(\Lambda=0\);
  4. spherical symmetry;
  5. staticity;
  6. asymptotic flatness;
  7. areal radius defined by

\[A_G=4\pi r_A^2;\]

  1. weak-field matching to the Keplerian calibration

\[g_G=\mu_G/r_A^2.\]

Then the unique static spherical exterior metric has

\[N^2=1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A},\]

and

\[H^2=\left(1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}\right)^{-1}.\]

Therefore,

\[ds^2=-\left(1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}\right)c^2dt^2+\left(1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}\right)^{-1}dr_A^2+r_A^2d\Omega^2.\]

After \(\mu_G=GM\), this is the Schwarzschild exterior solution.

54. Conditional Mapping — Schwarzschild Lapse to R²D Retention

The R²D possibility-retention partition is prior:

\[q_G+\alpha_G=1.\]

If the residual exterior-readable fraction is physically represented by the Schwarzschild static lapse,

\[\alpha_G=N,\]

then

\[q_G=1-\sqrt{1-\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}}.\]

This mapping:

• reproduces the correct weak-field gravitational work fraction; • reaches complete retention at the Schwarzschild horizon; • preserves finite enclosing area; • and leaves free-fall local realization intact.

55. Logical Status

Established by Addenda 35–39

• reference ownership; • Lorentz clock-ruler calibration; • mass-energy relation; • free fall versus support; • tidal curvature; • four-dimensional Einstein compatibility.

Established by Addendum 40

\[g_G=\frac{\mu_G}{r^2},\]

with

\[\mu_G=\frac{4\pi^2a^3}{T^2}.\]

Established by Addendum 41

\[r_A=\sqrt{\frac{A_G}{4\pi}},\]

and

\[\chi_G=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

Projection Assumptions Introduced Here

• vacuum exterior; • \(\Lambda=0\); • spherical symmetry; • staticity; • asymptotic flatness.

Mathematical Consequence of the Addendum 39 Metric Projection

\[N^2=1-\frac{r_s}{r_A},\]

\[H=N^{-1}.\]

Weak-Field Calibration

\[r_s=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}.\]

Exact Schwarzschild Result

\[ds^2=-(1-\chi_G)c^2dt^2+(1-\chi_G)^{-1}dr_A^2+r_A^2d\Omega^2.\]

R²D Physical Mapping

\[\alpha_G=\sqrt{1-\chi_G},\]

and

\[q_G=1-\sqrt{1-\chi_G}.\]

Not Derived Here

This addendum does not derive:

• the possibility-retention partition itself; • the Schwarzschild solution from primitive R²D combinatorics; • the numerical value of G; • black-hole entropy; • Planck area; • Hawking temperature; • Kerr or charged black-hole geometry; • the interior matter solution; • the \(r_A=0\) curvature singularity.

The exact Schwarzschild metric is a conditional metric projection inherited from Addendum 39.

The R²D contribution is its boundary-relative deprojection and interpretation.

56. What Addendum 43 Must Now Solve

At the horizon we now have:

\[\chi_H=1,\]

\[\alpha_H=0,\]

\[q_H=1,\]

and

\[A_H=\frac{16\pi\mu_G^2}{c^4}.\]

The horizon is therefore a finite realized area boundary even though the selected exterior static clock read has vanished.

The next question is not:

What radius is the horizon?

That has already been answered downstream of area.

The next question is:

What count is physically represented by the surviving horizon area?

That is the problem of horizon multiplicity.

It belongs to Addendum 43.

57. The Central R²D Inversion

The conventional Schwarzschild story begins with a metric:

R²D then deprojects the lapse as

\[N=\frac{P_G-R_G}{P_G}.\]

At the horizon,

\[P_G=R_G.\]

58. Conclusion

Schwarzschild geometry need not be the first gravitational object.

The new R²D foundation begins earlier.

Keplerian closure supplies a shared gravitational calibration,

\[\mu_G.\]

Spherical projection supplies enclosing area,

\[A_G.\]

The areal radius is reconstructed from that area:

\[r_A=\sqrt{\frac{A_G}{4\pi}}.\]

The resulting area-first compactness is

\[\chi_G=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2r_A}.\]

Only then does the mature four-dimensional metric projection enter.

Under vacuum, spherical symmetry, staticity, and asymptotic flatness, the Einstein compatibility relation of Addendum 39 yields

\[H^{-2}=1-\frac{r_s}{r_A},\]

and

\[NH=1.\]

Weak-field matching to Kepler fixes

\[r_s=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}.\]

Therefore,

\[N^2=1-\chi_G.\]

The exact exterior geometry is

\[ds^2=-(1-\chi_G)c^2dt^2+(1-\chi_G)^{-1}dr_A^2+r_A^2d\Omega^2.\]

The R²D possibility-retention partition already exists:

\[q_G+\alpha_G=1.\]

Schwarzschild geometry then supplies its exact static physical calibration:

\[\alpha_G=\sqrt{1-\chi_G},\]

and

\[q_G=1-\sqrt{1-\chi_G}.\]

For weak gravity,

\[q_G\simeq\frac{\mu_G}{c^2r_A},\]

so after Addendum 36’s mass-energy calibration,

\[q_Gmc^2\simeq\frac{\mu_Gm}{r_A}.\]

At the horizon,

\[\chi_G=1.\]

Therefore,

\[\alpha_G=0,\]

and

\[q_G=1.\]

The selected exterior static gravitational read is completely retained:

\[P_G=R_G.\]

But the gravitational boundary remains.

Its area is finite:

\[A_H=\frac{16\pi\mu_G^2}{c^4}.\]

Its areal radius follows:

\[r_H=\frac{2\mu_G}{c^2}.\]

Local free fall remains unaccelerated.

Tidal curvature can remain finite.

What fails is the static exterior clock-ruler decomposition.

The local static clock satisfies

\[\frac{d\tau}{dt}=\alpha_G,\]

while the static radial ruler satisfies

\[\frac{d\ell_r}{dr_A}=\frac1{\alpha_G}.\]

Their product is exactly one.

Thus the reciprocal clock-ruler structure is not assumed.

It emerges from the Schwarzschild vacuum projection.

The explanatory hierarchy is therefore

Gravitational boundary \(\longrightarrow\) Keplerian calibration \(\longrightarrow\) enclosing area \(\longrightarrow\) areal radius \(\longrightarrow\) compactness \(\longrightarrow\) [PDF callout clipped; author review required.]

The exact metric comes late.

The possibility-retention architecture comes first.

Thus:

gravitational retention occurs before Schwarzschild geometry.

More precisely:

The R²D possibility-retention partition precedes the metric; Schwarzschild geometry supplies its [PDF closing line clipped; author review required.]
